Just received a Voicemail from Dominos, don't know why, haven't entered my umber into anything.

Basically the message explained they would be having Large 1 Topping Pizza's for :eek: 3.99 and 1$ extra for Each Additional Topping - This will go on from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM - The call was from the Sawdust/I-45 Location - Phone # 281.292.1995

I figured a lot of people would be preparing for the game and getting together and maybe someone might find this helpful.

This could be for other locations, maybe someone can call an Update! :D

If you are in the Sawdust/I-45 area, go Greek Tony's. It won't be $3.99, but it won't taste like crap on cardboard either.

I've been to Greek Tony's. It's overrated. I favor Brothers -- it's WORTH the drive.

For those who like it, there's a Little Caesar's on Rayford and Imperial Oaks (about a mile down Rayford from 45). $5 large pepperoni every day is pretty hard to argue with.

Pass. Domino's actually does taste pretty good to me. Plus, can't beat $3.99.

Careful. I worked at GT's for many years and am still close with the family. That does make me a bit biased, though. Brother's is good...I just like Greek's better.

even for $5, Little caesar's is the crappiest pizza this side of the galaxy. i prefer to just go buy Reb Baron from the grocery store.

King's Pizza (SE side of town) has delicious pizza for cheap. You can get a XL one topping pizza for $8.99. Must pick it up, but man is it good.

You can find something similar for nearly every fast food chain. Nothing shocking about it. That's probably the saddest part.

i work at dominos for a corporate store here in houston and im unaware of this special. usually they would email with the codes, but i read all the emails tonight and didnt come across anything like this.

also, if you have ordered from your phone, they save it and call you with special offers if you are a regular customer

Ive never had a pizza in Texas (Houston born and raised) that I liked (sorry Star Pizza). The frozen grocery store stuff is about the best I have encountered. Is there anything Chicago-like in Houston? Again, sorry Star Pizza... not happening

This $3.99 out of the blue unsolicited phone call thing sounds hoaxish. Didn't they just get burned like a week or two ago on some other fake deal? Also, dude has those commecials right now stating the "current" nationwide "Main Street" deal campaign and it doesn't say anything about $3.99 pizza.

I don't care for Papa Johns, personally. I mean, it's alright, but not my favorite or even close.

Not too many chicago style pizzas in Texas, though Conan's in Austin used to be pretty close. Don't know if they're still around though. I'm guessing they are, somewhere.

My favorite in H-town these days has to be Barry's. I haven't had it in a while, and I think Ike put a whoopin' on the original location. I wonder if they're back in biz... I should eat that next week for lunch.

Oh, it sucks alright. I lived within walking distance of one in Denton, and I live within walking distance now. If I don't want to wait, I'll eat it.

It wouldn't matter because someone who ran a pizza place in Chicago could move to Houston and make the same dang pizza and the pizza elitists would claim it wasn't like real Chicago pizza... lol.

It's never as good as "that other place".
