Astros 1B Aaron Boone is having heart surgery involving his aorta and aortic valve. Which brings one question to me. When did the Astros sign Arron Boone?

Oh, THAT'S why you started this thread. Here I am thinking that you spent the time creating a thread on a basketball message board asking about when we signed a player to our baseball team so you could wait until the next person bothered to read it and answer you... instead of, you know, taking half that time to do a quick Google lookup to answer the question for yourself and get the answer immediately. I'm sure there were no other comedic intentions on your part at all. My mistake.

I think the point is, why open a thread to simply ask a question as to when Boone was signed? It is a lot simpler to google it. Now if your thread was started as to why he was signed or something of that sort, that would have been more reasonable. Starting a thread to find out one piece of factual information is a waste.
