Kubiak was an angry gambler at a blackjack table today. I've seen it happen in Madden all the time, but for an actual NFL head coach to pull that crap in a game is awful. He left so many points out on the field today, honestly it doesn't matter how good his coaching and talent evaluating capabilities are--he should not be a head coach if his playcalling is like that.

Kubiak gets a big F for today's performance. Truly disappointing.

The play calling was abysmal...and that long pass play at the end of the first half should have been challenged. Texans had this game, but the HC lost it for them.

Lets get back on track here.

I was very disappointed with Schaub's performance today, as well as Kubiak's. I just can't buy into a system of play-calling that is sub-par. The poor plays are also magnified by the fact that Schaub can't call an audible and control his own offense. Watching Peyton Manning take complete control of his drives by previewing the defense and adjusting accordingly makes me disheartened that our own QB can't do the same.

For example, Schaub was told to use a running play with Slaton, but Tennesee stacked 5 linemen and 4 players behind them, leading to an inevitable no-gain run. Change the play when you see that many people stacked to stop the run.

Collins was rushing the team to the LOS like they were in the 2-minute drill so he could call another play because he KNEW it wasn't a catch. Everyone in the stadium and watching on TV knew it wasn't a catch. But the little red flag stayed in Kubiaks' pocket for some strange reason.

it was a poor decision. But it wasn't SUPER obvious without a replay. I'm sure you realize that Kubiak only had 1 challenge left for the ENTIRE GAME at that point. He wanted to be sure. There's no way his team upstairs had enough time to be sure and tell him so before Collins snapped the ball. It sucks, but I get it somewhat..

(at the same time, I think Kubiak blew nuts for most of this game, and I don't have any good reason for most of what he did.. only for not challenging a couple of times)
