Here is an intercepted signal from Bristol propagandists on why they don't cover Berkman that much.

ESPN on Berkman ( http://media.switchpod.com//users/vladthegreat/Bristolempireagainstlance.mp3)

1. he plays in houston.

2. He has always been the "number three guy"

3. berkman is too old ( i guess a puma ages faster)

Houston doesn't make the postseason that much?? Correct me if I'm wrong, but haven't we made the playoffs like 7 times over the past 12 years or something?? Houston isn't covered by the media simply because the media is full of complete douchebags. Plain and simple. His points are valid, but the fact of the matter is , it will never change, so even if this guy acknowledges WHY they aren't covering Berkman, it's not like the media gives a damn anyways. It has never been about informing the public and giving guys their props....it's always been about appeasing the masses and paying the bills, and apparently the only teams that can do that are the Yankees and Red Sox.

Oh lord...The espn guy tried, he really did. But it sounded EXACTLY like a guy who never paid any attention to the Astros and making up "sensible" reasons as he goes along. The reasons are okay but still unjustifiable.

Here's what Berkman the #3 guy's done
Significant statistics
Note: All stats are as of May 3 2007.

Four time All-Star (2001-02, 2004, 2006)
12th among active players in batting average (.303)
5th among active players (25th all-time) in on-base percentage (.416)
12th among active players (25th all-time) in slugging percentage (.561)
7th among active players (17th all-time) in OPS (.983)
Led NL in doubles (55) in 2001.
Led NL in RBI (128) in 2002.
National League Player of the Month in May 2004.
National League Player of the Week for April 21-27 and May 5-11 in 2008*
Lance Berkman holds the National League record for most single season RBIs (136) as a switch hitter.
Holds the record for most home runs at Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati for an opposing player with 18 in his career.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lance_Berkman
Their coverage was Bonds, Jeter, Clemens, then after that A-Rod, Big Papi, Manny. Then after that the number #2 through 7 hitters on the Yanks and Red Sox. Then probably someone like Mike Stanton before they mention Lance Berkman. I myself dont care about respect cuz we the fans know what we have, but it just shows how badly biased they've been in their coverage.

well, that's baseball. and guys are giving it 100% out there. so sometimes the breaks go your way, and sometimes they don't. and, once again, that's just baseball.

you mean "110%".

when you step between the white lines, all you can do is give it 110%, respect the game, and play the game the right way.

With the season soon coming to an end, I've been hearing Puma for MVP from the 'ensemble' cast of the national media. The only problem is that he's being mentioned after two red birds and that one rad dude, CC.
If Puma wasn't being considered as the best player when he was hitting like jesus, had jesus played first base, there is no chance of him winning the mvp. It's a shame that these nationalist writers get to decide who wins the award, when it's clearly obvious, by the previous radio segment, that they are against our city. :(
