Now that we are a quarter of the way through the season and on an 89 win pace, I just wanted to know if people are still down on this team.

There should be a specific poll option for 100 losses or more. :D
I turned the same vote I made before the season. More ups, and more downs, will follow. Until they address their pitching, I don't see them any better than .500 at season's end.
(Of course I want them to win 126 games, but we're making predictions, here, right?)

I think I voted to make the playoffs just because I'm biased. Coming into the year I thought they were a .500 ball club. The offense won't play this good the whole year, but Roy Oswalt will pitch better and Wandy will come back, so it's very plausible that we make it, and how I hope we do. They need to get me out of my disappointment with the Rockets.

You both beat me to it.
And I'll say 86, playoffs.
But anything over 74.5 and I win my bet! (at least I think that was the #..will have to check at home later)

86-90 and make the playoffs sounds good to me . The thing is , this team will cool off eventually . If the pitching can continue to hold up the way it has and help the team get though any hitting slumps they may go though , then 86-90 wins is a logical expectation .

Still don't see it. I voted below .500. :)
And I sure hope I'm wrong. Nothing would make me happier.

How do you feel about your ~100 loss prediction?

Sometimes they'll win, sometimes they'll lose, sometimes it'll rain.

I just want to try to help the big club any way I can.

Well, ya know, we just gotta take it one day at a time. Last night was kind of a rough night, but today's a whole 'nuther day and we just gotta get out there and play ball.

Not expecting much from this team, but then I wasn't expecting much from the '05 team either.
This team has been a lot of fun to watch even though I'm usually more a fan of pitching duels.
