Man I miss this place at times. Not so much for the Corn Dogs, but for the cheese on a stick they used to sell.

Anyone know of any place that does this? (ie. makes a corn dog with cheese rather than a hot dog?)

I think I may have to talk to Steve over at Christian's and make him put it on the menu.

On another topic, DO NOT bother with the Cheesy Beefy Melt at Taco Bell. That stupid thing was 90% rice. If I wanted rice, I'd order it.

Carry on.

So uh, have you tried the cheesy beefy melt at Taco Bell?

Just did today, and was sorely unimpressed. Order two Meximelts instead. Now THAT is a cheesy beefy melt. I'm getting irritated with Taco Bell constantly shoving rice into all of its new menu items.

Cheesy Barfy Turdy Diarrhea Doodoo Melt has been out a while, in fact, the entire ad campaign is a recycle from last year.

You shoulda known it sucked already, Fatty!

Yep. Call me a sucker for advertising. I had it last year also, but I thought it was new. Damn Alzheimers...

In my experience Meximelts are 70% tortilla. Since they're going to put rice into the new menu items anyway, I'll just get cheesy bean & rice burritos which are bigger and cheaper than the cheesy beefy melt. (On the other hand, meat is not at the top of my list.) You could always get one of those and then a beef and potato or beef combo burrito.

I wish Taco Cabana, by the way, would bring the tortas back... they were here but all too briefly...

What? They were never in Houston. We got the Pupusa.

BTW, my friend turned me on to frying your own taco shells. I can now make tacos 10X better than any taco joint.

This was in San Antonio (south side where I work) a few months ago. I remember fondly one with cheese sauce, onions, and fajita beef. We also had a comeback of the Pupusa (useful, easy to eat in the car, but so 2006 :) ).

The latest special was a shrimp quesadilla - really good too, though for some reason I was still hungry after. It wasn't the biggest/thickest quesadilla.

Ah, the Pupusa. Never had something taste so good when drunk and so not when sober.

There is actually a corn dog with cheese instead? What kind of cheese was it?

It is like a square cut out of Velveeta-ish or American-ish cheese cut to the length of a hot dog...
So So So epic...

I want one NOW.

They had several types. American was the best, though. I'm really going to bug Steve about it, but he doesn't even have Corn Dogs on the menu yet, so it may be awhile.

Taco Bell sucks.

They use the same indredients on everything. You can get some of their tacos and make nachos out of them. They use th same ground beef on everything.

did you just now figure this out....or did you actually have a mom who used different ground beef on her tacos vs her nachos?

They have cheese on a stick at "Hot Dog on a Stick" in Vegas and I seem to recall that there was a chain of these stores in malls in Houston in the '80's.

Anyone else remember that?

Their ground meat makes me want to be a Vegan I really do not like it. I avoid it.

Separately - Fatty does not lie- he is what he is whether you like it or not. That is what I respect about him. If only I could be more like Fatty
