I don't think it's that much of a surprise. We all know old people can't think for themselves.

Gore is gonna win, now. He need Florida.
And Freak, thats not nice. My grandma voted in Florida. I hate you. http://bbs.clutchcity.net/ubb/frown.gif
I actually voted today and I voted for Gore. Not because I support him because I really don't like him. But because something about Bush celebrating last night in Tennesee and Arkansas like he already won, moved me into the booth. If there is one thing I can't stand is arrogance. Gore is arrogant to a fault. But the man worked all night to make sure he gets votes. He got up today and kept it going and just 20 minutes ago, got on the radio to campaign some more to all western states.
Hard working mofo. I like that.
But Bush has scored with me on some of his policies. The tax scheme I don't like much. But I do like his idea about Social Security(especially since I am not even thirty), Military defense(cuz of the recent bombing. That bothered the crap out of me) and he is a rather likeable fellow.

According to the networks, it's no lock. Bush still leads 130-119. But Gore also won Mich., and if he wins Pennsylvania, Bush has to almost run the table on the close states.
I heard that when it was announced at Bush's rally that Gore took Fla., a hush fell over the crowd.

Rightfully so... that state was key for Bush to win. I would be stunned now if Gore didn't win this. I hope he doesn't, but doesn't look too good for Bush.

Gore just took Pennsylvania. Maybe Bush should've picked Ridge, it couldn't have hurt him.
How did Gore win Fla. if he only had 47 % of vote on Bush had 50% ?

Achebe and Almu -- go to hell.
Is anyone else bothered by those tallies at the bottom of the screen on Fox News? I just saw Lazio 52 Hillbilly 48, but everyone is saying that Hillbilly wins. Why show the percentages if they're wrong? Oh, and go Hakeem! Way to take Shaq-fool to school.

Just an FYI.... CNN embarrassingly just retracted its "Florida-Gore" win .... now saying it's "too close to call"....
BOY if Bush wins Florida what a black eye for CNN... still expect Gore to win though.

CNN has now taken Florida away from Gore and now says it's too close to call.
Weird.
That would make it Bush: 202, Gore: 167
(Bush's number is combining the FOX News caleld states with the CNN called states. Fox News has yet to call TN, while CNN has yet to call WV and Missouri). And both are failing to give Bush his 1 electoral vote from Maine (Maine splits its Electoral votes)

Bush: 214
Gore: 167
(Again, counting all states that either CNN or FoxNews has counted and giving Bush his 1 vote in Maine).
Ooops! Make that 218 for Bush. CNN just gave him New Hampshire.
52 to go.

Kinda makes you wonder if it is ONE network calling the states and the others just watch and follow. LOL
Can you imagine FOX or NBC saying "It was CNN faults!" http://bbs.clutchcity.net/ubb/smile.gif

Now with approximately 95% of the precincts reporting in Florida Bush has a slight edge in popular vote (currently 38,000+), although the percentages are tied 49% a piece.
He is at 246 electoral college votes now, if he wins Florida, it's all said and done.

With 190,00 votes left to be counted, Bush has a 30k vote lead. Gore would need to get at least 58% of remaining vote to win Florida.
Gore won Iowa. Winner of Florida is the winner of the Presidency.
