A 12.2 PER does not constitute beast in my mind. But like you said, too early to make any judgments.

I find him a huge upgrade to Brooks who in more recent weeks was being exposed as a liability. BJAX was a huge pickup that solidified our rotation imo. I liked Brooks but aside from a few games and situations he didn't overly impress me. We rapped New Orleans on that deal. Great job on Morey's behalf.

I dunno, MJ has been playin pretty well w/ them lately and Bonzi is still a good player when he wants to be.

Yeah ... those numbers are pretty meaningless at this point.

I feel comfortable with Jackson running the PG, which wasn't the case with James or Francis. I wouldn't say he's played great since he's joined the team, but he's been an adequate backup for us.

    Mike James tonight, 7pts (3-5,1-3), 3 boards, 0 assist in 13 minutes.

Like I said in the other thread. James has out played Jackson since the trade. Jackson picks up his dribble like a 10yr old. He drives into crowds like a 10yr old. He jumps without purpose like a 10yr old. Morey really put his statistical analysis to use finding perhaps the only PG who shoots a lower % than the old Rafer. On top of that we didn't address our need at backup PG, Jackson is an undersized 2.

I can't wait til next season when he trade his expiring for something we can actually use. Bobby Jackson has had 4 good games all year.

I liked Bonzi but he was inconsistant. He could produce but it didn't seem like he played within his strengths. Luther Head has his minutes now and has looked pretty good the last few games by hitting the three ball and driving to the basket every so often. I'm okay with Luther taking those minutes and playing within his game than seeing bonzi jack up 20 ft fadeaways or get to the line only to miss both free throws.

But when Bonzi was on he was huge. It was a simple scenario. Plug in Bonzi, if he attacked and was on play him big minutes. If he was off simply give Head more PT. Like Kenny and Sam splitting the point. Go with the hot hand. The inconsistency was neutralized by a deep swing position IMO.

    Mike James
    PER for: 15.0
    PER against: 30.1
    +/-: -12.8

    Bonzi Wells
    PER for: -4.7
    PER against: 22.8
    +/-: -20.1

I'd say that even if James is putting up decent numbers, he is making his team suck when he is on the floor. We have definitely got the better end of the deal so far.
