In March, according to a Dallas police report, pro hockey goaltender Ed
Belfour, desperately trying to avoid a public intoxication arrest, offered two
patrolmen $100,000 to forget the whole thing, and by the time they were set to
haul him to the station, Belfour had vomited all over himself and upped the
offer to $1 billion.

Belfour's had issues before, which were blown way out of proportion in the press because of who he is. (For those that don't know, he's one of the four or five best goaltenders in the sport.)

In a way, he's a little like Barkley. He needs someone to go with him when he "parties," to make sure he doesn't have a few drinks and do something dumb.
