I'm sure this has been said many times in the past on this board, but i'm gonna state it again: Great pick by the Texans!!! I was one of few to like the pick on draft day, but then started to doubt him the first year. His stats this year are great, he's now in the top 10 in the league in sacks, and stacks up nicely with 46 tackles on the year which is good for a DE.
Now let's look at Reggie before the injury: Less yards than Dayne with only 5 less carries, only 1 more TD, and he has 7 FUMBLES! That leads all RBs in the league.... Now he's hurt and will always have to worry about that knee.
And Vince, everyone's golden child. I knew from day 1 that he would be the next Vick, but that's not saying much. He runs too much which risks injury, and his throwing mechanics are crap. Maybe that doesn't matter a lot of times, but look how he compares to the the other QBs. His QB rating is #29 in the league, he's #21 in passing yards, #16 in completion %, and he has 16 INTs to only 7 TDs, that's PATHETIC. Look at Schaub's numbers when he was healthy.... And Young's rushing stats aren't anything to great to compensate for a pathetic passing game. VINCE YOUNG SUCKS

Back to Mario, he is doing great this year and the sky's the limit! We also have the advantage of him not having a target on his head like a QB or RB where every defensive player wants to take you out. This means he will be healthy for more games than Bush and Young.
Long story short, just wanted to give MARIO WILLIAMS THE PROPS HE DESERVES!!! Last year it was all abouyt how the Texans made a huge mistake and now that Williams is looking like a better pick there is no credit given to the Texans. It's crap

This is going to be a groundbreaking post, sir.

I don't think anyone has thought to compare these three guys first two years in the NFL, yet.

But don't forget that Titans fans suck it long and hard, while getting ready for bottom penetration.

I'd say the first line is stating the truth...thats kinda the opposite of sarcasm.

Sarcasm would have had you saying something like:

"I'm not sure if this has been said in the past on this board, but i'm gonna state it again: Great pick by the Texans!!!"

You forgot the "not", thereby ruling out any sarcastic attempt.

In any case, I agree.

Once again, save the dumb comments. if that's all you gotta say then you obviously have no knowledge of the game, otherwise you would want to talk about the bright future mario has in front of him. or maybe you're one of those VY fans that would love to get in his jock strap after a game...

Look, man, no one is even saying you're wrong (though I'm guessing there are some here that say you are).

Fact is this **** is argued at least three times a week on this board.

WTF is the point of another thread. You can say 'save the dumb comments' all you want, but you're going to get ragged on and rightfully so.

nothing against you, i'm glad we have Mario as well, but this thread is ridiculous. there's 30,000 threads on the subject already and 3/4 of them are ridiculous.

honestly mr. clutch, I remember you being pretty disappointed in the mario pick and being a HUGE proponent of bush and still arguing for bush into the beginning of this season.

so don't jump on the mario bandwagan like you've been driving all along.

last year, pac man, this year albert, its always someone esle. when vince came in and they started winning, albert was on the bench because he stepped on someone's face with his cleats.

You are right. Vince has led the Tits to become the 21st ranked Offense this year. Vince being a hero, a winner, a man with intangibles that just WINS also made his team have the 6th best defense.

It's all Vince, he makes them stuff the run and lock down receivers. Here's an interesting stat, Vince has only 5 more TD's than his defense. FOR THE ENTIRE YEAR!

You mean the season when they didn't have the 6th best defense in the NFL? What do they always says win Championships? TD/INT ratio?

that's fine, he was a rookie, he clearly had impact if more than one of the wins, and his ratio was fine until the last game which was terrible which no one denies

so we can sit hit and rehash the same arguments from last year, I was only pointing out the fact that now everyone is crediting haynesworth when haynesworth was suspended when vince came in.

that's an indisputable fact. so carry on

But you *have* to recognize Haynesworth and Tennessee's defense for their performance this year. Maybe one shouldn't totally dismiss VY's impact on that club, but you don't win games with "leadership", and his performance this year is frankly subpar.

My attempt to end the feud:

I like VY.

VY has had a disappointing sophomore season.

I didn't expect VY to be a starter at all in his first season.

He has some time to become whatever he will become.

Go Texans.

Vince was a good player last year. He's not this year. I don't know why some of you have this attitude like we're dismissing his entire career. He certainly did have a very big impact on that team winning a season ago... this year, not so much.

Yeah, the Titans couldn't win without him. It's not like they hung 38 on the Texans with the backup quarterback... oh wait.

Here's a concept for you: teams win games.

I'm not so sure. Sage has been more than adequate this year.
