slingbox sounds like an excellent idea, however i have no experience with it.
how does it work do I just plug my laptop into a television.
is it possible to watch multiple channels if i have multiple TVs?
may borrow a friends laptop as well?

Use DISH network.
I've used my Westinghouse LCD tv and Dish before. I don't have dish, but used a bud's of mine.

We put a TV outside last year for the stoners. They had a blast.
Hold on, I've got a pic.
EDIT: Here it is.
