There should be at least one more special kind of moment for Craig Biggio this season -- closing the circle, so to speak, on a 20-year career.

Astros ace Roy Oswalt has asked Biggio to don the catcher's gear and catch at least a couple of innings for him in the Sept. 28-30 final home series against the Atlanta Braves.

Biggio has agreed tentatively to catch for Oswalt, so long as the Braves are not locked in a tight NL East Division race.

"Ethically, I won't do it if those games mean something for the Braves," Biggio said, as always pointing to respecting the game.

However, Biggio said he would love to end his career the same way he began it, catching at least a little bit after playing the position his first few years before moving to second-base and the outfield.

"Maybe I'll even do the 'Tony Pena,'" Biggio said, referring to his early-career style of sitting in the catcher's position with one leg extended whenever no runners were on base.

And then there will be people who come onto this thread after/during the game and ask why the heck is Biggio catching, the guy can only hit .240..

I half jokingly kid, but I know someone will say it...

Hell, he can have the position now full-time, if he likes. :)

It's crazy, I started watching the Astros late in Doran's career, probably just a couple years before Biggio started.

I can't believe it's been that long!

Biggio should start catching now... Might as well end his career all banged up with aching knees.
