Wow. My 1,000th post since February of 1999. How else to mark this occasion (through my eyes, I know no one else cares http://bbs.clutchcity.net/ubb/smile.gif ) than to ask about CDs my fellow posters are playing at home, work, or in their car?

Yesterday I tried listening to Aerosmith's "Draw the Line" and "Gems", but my wife's CD player in her car SUCKS!. So, I had to listen to the stupid ass radio... (I hate the radio)
Today, as most days, I'm in my car, and listening (On get this, a CASSETTE Player) to Jethro Tull's "This Was" and "Stand Up". "Living in the Past" and "Heavy Horses" are my back up if I get tired of hearing the first two.

SpaceCity,
I love XTC but haven't bought Apple Venus vol. 1. Would you recommend it? And what other XTC album (ok ok, CD) does it most resemble?

Vol.1 is all acoustic and symphonic. The songwriting is pure Andy Partridge.
If you like XTCs songwriting then you will like the album.
Vol. 2 is coming out soon. It's called Wasp Star and it will be all of the electric songs from the same sessions as vol. 1.

Space City:
Propellerheads? Somebody else has that album! It's outstanding.
I only really listen to music at home, and at the moment it's:-
Leftfield - Rhythm and Stealth
Van Morrison - The Best Of ...
Carl Cox - FACT
DJ Shadow - Endtroducing ...
James Taylor Quartet - Wait A Minute
It just tends to be whichever CDs are on top of the pile, if I'm honest http://bbs.clutchcity.net/ubb/smile.gif

Yeah that CD really took me by surprise.
It's not pure techno. It's not totally hip-hop. It's all over the place.

Beach Boys - Pet Sounds
Billy Joel - Live: 2000 Years

Theodros Avery & Cassandra Wilson
