Papa Johns
Supreme.
One of the few pizzas that can fill me up on only 2 or 3 slices, damn they really stack the toppings!

Quite a few people think that Star pizza in Houston is the best, but my favorite pizza in Houston also happens to be some of the cheapest--Joker's pizza.
However, it's been my observation that pizza in New England is always better than pizza down here in the South. Why is that?

Chain-Thin Crust Papa John's (and I'm a deep dish guy).
Local-The Patrick's at Empire Cafe on Westheimer. Sausage and Spinach (and I hate Spinach).
Smaller Chain-CiCi's, extremely cheap.
Best Pizza ever though is in Chicago. My personal favorite-Gino's East.

The best pizza I ever had was in Chicago, and the worst was in Tokyo, and I couldn't tell you the name of either place, but my favorite now is a place in L.A. called Damianos, which is darn good, and frightfully expensive, but they deliver until 6 A.M.

Best Chain--Pizza Hut. Almost everything they make rocks.
Best local chain--Pizza Inn. They win because of no competition in our area.

Y'all have got to try this little place called Nick and Willie's on Bissonnet near Rice Blvd.
They have fantastic specialty Pizza's and they serve them raw, so you take it home and bake it yourself.
My personal favorite is the Baja Burn, which is a pizza covered with refried beans, sans sauce. Then they cover it with layers of ground beef, cilantro, onions, tomatoes, and cheddar and american cheese. Delicious!

Now THE best I ever had was on Telegraph Road in Berkley, CA just down the street from UC Berkley... I forget the name of the place but 1 piece was like three from any national chain, or 6 from feces, errr, I mean CiCi's.
Pappa John's id good too, but a little more spicy than Pizza Hut... gotta be in the mood for spicy
Pizza Hut is right in their ad, "The Best Pizzas Under One Roof" Stuffed Crust, Big NYer, etc.
