Chicken Kitchen in Rice Village is pretty good. That Curry Mustard dressing can't be too healthy for you though.

Chicken fajita pita at JITB.
Pretty much any salad.
Pretty much any grilled chicken sandwich.

Even a burger that's flame broiled and a small size can be healthy without the fries, or soda.
If you consider subway healthy, then aren't there tons of sandwich places you can go to? I personally feel there's too much carbs with those big buns. But then again, I'm not dieting so I don't care. But if I were, slice bread seems a better way to go. More meat/veg to bread ratio.
Unless you're getting a salad(no fried stuff on top), I don't think there is any fast food that meets most people's definition of "healthy".

If you use the whole wheat bread, those carbs are actually pretty health. Tastes better than white as well.

I don't know about healthy, but when I'm limiting carbs (obviously not recently), I eat at Wendy's a lot. Their salads are really good, and the Caesar side salad and small chili might be the best $2 meal in the world.

Subway's advertising campaign is brilliant. They've managed to convince a lot of people that pretty much anything at Subway is healthy. I'm not taking a shot at the OP at all, because I don't know what he orders when he goes there. However, I had a buddy in high school that would say "man, I think I wanna go healthy for dinner tonight, I wanna go to Subway." When we got to Subway, he'd proceed to order a foot long Cold Cut Trio with everything on it. I get the impression that most people that go to Subway because it is "healthy" fall into the same trap. When it comes down to it, there are very few items on their menu that are "healthy" unless you're eating nothing but turkey, vegetables, and some mustard on your wheat bread sandwich. And Jared is still a fat ass.
That being said, the first thing that pops into my mind is the Chargrilled Chicken Sandwich from Chik Fil A. You get grilled chicken, tomato, and lettuce on a whole wheat bun.

The only fast food I've eaten in the past year is the Veggie sandwich on wheat at Jimmy John's. And I only eat that based on TASTE! In fact I usually shy away from veggies like a 10 yr old. But the cheese and guac might take it a few notches down for the healthy crowd though.

I really don't know if there is a such thing as healthy fast food. Even grilled chicken sandwiches, which many promote as healthy alternatives, still pack over 400 calories just for the sandwich. For that much you can get eat two turkey sandwiches: 1 slice of bread = 70 calories x 4 = 280 calories, 1 slice of turkey breast = 30 calories x 4 = 120 calories. 280 + 120 = 400 calories.

Try Chipotle. I get a burrito bowl without the wrap, which saves a bunch of carbs. Then I sub out sour cream for extra salsa, which eliminates a bunch of fat. Think of it like a tex-mex sandwich shop - you can customize your meal to your diet.

I agree with that...I tend to think of the guy on "Supersize Me"...He eats 1-2 big macs a day, but no fries or drink...he's a bean pole...I haven't had Fast Food burgers in months and I don't really care too...I had Taco Bell after 2 months without fast food and my stomach hurt...
I just ate Subway with Sunchips and gatorade...

What's wrong with calories? If you have 400 calories in a meal, or even more, you should be fine unless you're eating about 7 meals a day.

McDonalds just started serving a chipotle grilled chicken wrap that's not half bad. Definitely the most healthy thing I've ordered at a drive thru.

In a perfect world, I would eat fast food 3 times a day for the rest of my life. But, we dont live in a perfect world. Thus, I can't do this unless I want to explode.
BTW, Subway has the "6 grams of fat" menu clearly marked. As long as you don't pile cheese and mayo on them (try mustard instead) and use wheat bread, I don't know how they can't be healthy.

Pretty much any salad.
Salads at fast food places are notorious for being high in sugar, fat, and calories. Not horrible for you or anything, but certainly not a healthy salad.

Wendy's side salads are amazing. Packed with fresh, cold veggies. If you don't get the fattening dressings (balsamic vin is a great choice, my fave), it's a very low calorie side.
I'm not too big on fast food lately after seeing Super Size Me (I don't care if people think it was ridiculous, that image of Morgan throwing up after eating McDonald's will definitely stick with me). But...as far as Subway goes, the sandwiches with 6g of fat have no cheese. I like the cheese on my subs!
I work at Jason's Deli. Although it's not fast food, I swear to God...the turkey sandwich on wheat with lettuce, tomato and honey mustard is sent from heaven. Add some fresh fruit to it, and it's my favorite meal.

chili at wendy's is uppose to be healthy becuase it is almost all vegetables

I've eaten the wheat bread at Subway. And it's certainly not the "good" kind of wheat. Granted, it's better than white bread or any of those flavored kind. But certainly not the stuff you want a lot of on a diet.
what's wrong with carbs? i gotta have my bread on my sandwich..lol
It depends on the type of carb, of course. But food like rice, noodles, white flour, thin wheat flour, etc. are very easily digested by the body. At or near the same rate as sugar. Definitely not conducive to a diet. I'm not saying no carbs like Atkins is good, but it's something one should eat in moderation for a "healthy" diet.

870 calories for a veggie no-rice burrito!!! Holy ***** batman! :( i was guessing closer to 500 calories :(
Add in the rice and you get 1110 calories "snack".
Cheese has 100 calories.
Guacamole has 170 calories.
Thus, an almost uneatable veggie burrito with no rice, cheese, or guacamole has 590 calories.

McDonalds's salads are between 300 and 400 calories, including dressing. I do not how many calories Wendy's salads have but they taste better than Micky D's.

Zen in Austin is pretty good and relatively healthy food. At least compared to the BBQ, Pizza, and pastor tacos I normally eat.
It is amazing how many people think carbohydrates are bad for you. Obviously, most things in excess aren't good for you, but fruit and vegetables are full of carbs. Your body needs carbs.
Subway is not health food. Maybe heathier, than a burger and fries, but not by much. Especially if your having your sandwich with cheese and mayo and knocking back a bag of Doritos with it.

The way I get my burrito bol still came out to be pretty healthy.
I get blacks beans, tomato, corn, red tomatillo sauce, guacamole, and lettuce. Comes out to 498 calories and only 2.5g of saturated fat. I hate the meat at Chipotle so I always get veggie.

The original (fried) Chick-fil-A chicken sandwich only has 410 calories and 3.5g of saturated fat. It's even healthier if you get the bun with no butter.

That was for 2 slices per sandwich. Subway only puts 3 slices per 6 inches on their subs and look at all that bread.

What's wrong with calories? If you have 400 calories in a meal, or even more, you should be fine unless you're eating about 7 meals a day.
But where do those calories come from? You have to be careful of which chicken sandwiches you choose. You mentioned the chargrilled chicken sandwich from Chik-Fil-A and that is an excellent choice, 270 calories only 3.5 grams of fat. Now take a look at McDonald's premium grilled chicken sandwich. 420 calories 10 grams of fat which 90 calories come from this fat, that's over 20% of the calories from fat. Not all grilled, chicken sandwiches are made the same. I was just saying that they're not all as healthy as made out to be.

I should have posted in this thread last night. I'm pretty sure that the healthiest "fast" meal that you can eat is Vietnamese take-out. It's no slower than Whataburger, and the vegetables are actually fresh.
