Anyone else going? Astros @ Phillies 4/15 (also advice opposing Philly fans?)

Hey guys, just checking if there are any fellow Astros fans going to see the Astros @ Phillies a week from Sunday! Driving up (from the DC area) the day of and driving back that evening...but we'll probably hang out for a cheesesteak or somethin afterwards ;)

Even if you're not going...any advice? Do I need to be legitimately worried about wearing Astros gear (hat, t-shirt...nothing super-loud like a jersey) to the game? Or about cheering loudly and obnoxiously? Philly fans are notorious for wanting to kick some ass.. (I've been that kinda fan in DC and in Atlanta before, but those crowds were pretty tame and no big deal...but don't have the rep of the Philly fans)

You shouldn't have a problem. There are generally small pockets of Astros fans there anyway. You'll probably get made fun of on the screen during the 7th inning stretch, but no one's likely to threaten you.

I reckon cheering in a truly obnoxious fashion may change that. I've never really had a chance to do so, because the Astros have lost every game I've gone to in Philadelphia since 1995. Even the one Randy Johnson pitched. In fact, I've never seen a Phillies loss in person.

I would go to more Phils-Cards games, but I fear that doing it on purpose may ruin the karma.

I think you should be ok at the Phillies game...now the Eagles games, you wouldnt make it out of the park without a couple bruises and a beer soaked jersey. Those bastards are crazy.

Phil fans are THE worst fans in pro sports. Eagle fans have run down redskin fans and cowboy fans. The phil fans will cuss you out and probably try and start some ****, but you will be ok. :D

Just letting people know to look for me on TV on Sunday afternoon ;) I'll be just left of center field about 10 rows up in my Astros gear! (hat and shirt probably) The section is right behind the weird little nook in the outfield wall.

I hope I catch a homer by a philly (if they're lucky enough to hit one)...cause I'll throw that shat back!

I've been going to Phillies games and rooting for the Stros for 6 years and have NEVER had a problem. Not even dirty looks.

You see tons of people wearing Astros gear at these games, by the way.

Now, I wouldn't try it at an Eagles or Flyers game, though! ;)
