First of all, I'm not complaining about the site at all.

I'm very surprised that Clutch finds the time to update the site daily considering the fact that he has a very busy life.
I can't even bring myself to update my site once a year (I'm sure some can relate).

However, I've noticed that the regular columnists have not been posting much lately (again, not going for an insult here).
I think that there are enough posters to pick up the slack. I've seen many awesome posts by some of the guys, and sometimes I think they can do very well as columns. With a little expansion, of course.

I would do it, but I'm not even a very good poster, so...

How does one get to become a 'columnist' not of the LHutz variety?

I think that you just have to send Clutch a copy...and if it's good enough, he'll post it on the page.

Posting as in posting to the BBS?

Or writing new columns?

Because, believe me, if I could come up with ideas for columns on a more frequent basis, I would. http://bbs.clutchcity.net/ubb/smile.gif

As for becoming a columnist... uhhh... you can send $49.95 to Brian Kagy, c/o Clutch Enterprises, Austin TX.

Or, write a column and email it to Clutch.

$49.95 seems pretty fair...

I would be open to more columnists -- absolutely. I agree we haven't done enough lately. That will change soon enough - promise.

I use to have on the page, back when it was Clutch City '97, that people could just send in an article submission and I would consider it... God knows I'm not the best writer -- I just write what I think, etc -- but I just try and include ones that I think could be entertaining for others. I don't want every thought on the BBS to become an article on the page mind you (that is what the BBS is for), but if someone has something that is funny, well-written, insightful, etc. I would certainly be up for putting it on the page.

I just ask people don't get insulted if it doesn't go up on the page -- but if it's good, it will.
