Hey Clutch,
I think it would be a cool idea if there was something like a section where you could buy Houston Rockets merchandise on CC.com. I find it impossible to find Houston Rockets stuff here in town. I think it would be a big hit. I'm sure you could resale through some other website on the 'net.
BTW,
If anyone can get me a Houston Rockets STARTER jacket I will WORSHIP YOU.

Great idea, you should see if you can do anything about that Clutch. I've already got the Rockets wool cap and shirt and P.J.s and stuff...... http://bbs.clutchcity.net/ubb/wink.gif

This is an interesting idea... but I'm not sure how the copyright thang would work out.
So it probably won't happen.
As an unsolicited plug, try Amazon.com, and search on "Houston Rockets". I got "Double Clutch" that way.
RSWULA2: Read the FAQ.
Clutch,
You should at least become an Amazon.com associate.
Kagy: Is Double Clutch the video from our second championship season?
In Germany, only the first video "Clutch City" was available. I can pretty much understand it, most of the damn German fans are only after the Bulls...
I remember somone brought up the idea of Clutch City T-Shirts!
NOW that would be real cool! I would love to have one and woulndīt mind paying a " little more" for it. $-)
Clutch, what do you think?

Jovi: Yes, yes, and maybe.
Yes, "Double Clutch" is the 2nd Rockets championship video.
Yes, the idea of Clutch City t-shirts has been discussed.
Maybe, someday, they will exist. I don't want to speak for Clutch on this one, but there are a number of reasons that the t-shirts haven't been made.
Numero uno is how lazy we are.
A close second is that Clutch does not and has never considered clutchcity.net to be a commercial enterprise.
BK: Of course, CC isnīt supposed to be commercial...but those shirts would be for us fans and I donīt really consider it commercial.
And if you sell T-shirts, we won't think of you as "commercializing" the site. It will just be a sign of pride and respect that we buy and wear them!
You could run into some problems over use of the name clutch city though.
Perhaps you could "liscense" the shirt making to someone else on the board who wants to make them. Give that person free reign to sell the shirts for cost. Oviously, it would have to be a labor of love, 'cuz no one would make any money.
I think one of the old Red Rockets style jerseys--without the word Rockets or NBA, of course--with the number "01" on the front and back and with "www.clutchcity.net" above the back numeral where a players name would normally be would look cool.

Actually, NBA Properties owns the phrase "Clutch City"-- or at least, it's a registered trademark. I would say the fans of Houston own the phrase.
But I'm not here to rant... just to say that DMI owns "clutchcity.net" and as such, could certainly put it on a T-shirt with no legal repercussions.
There are no plans at this time to do so, however. This is something that Clutch has mentioned doing for a while, but it's rather low priority.

Making shirts and selling them from this site would be asking for trouble from the NBA. Team names are copyrighted by the NBA. So is the phrase "Clutch City".
But I don't see a problem with "CC200" "Cl_tchC_ty.com: Where "u" and "i" go for Houston Professional Basketball information"

How about people send Clutch "gifts" of $25 or so and Clutch and Crew send out "gifts" of CCO t-shirts. I don't see how the NBA could do anything about that. I'm sure there's no way for them to shut down any parents who give their children Rockets jerseys as rewards for good behavior or grades... http://bbs.clutchcity.net/ubb/wink.gif

Oh please Clutch! I would love a www.clutchcity.net (http://www.clutchcity.net) shirt. I'd be the first one to buy, or exchange gifts for it. I like the idea of "www.cl_tchc_ty.com", you could put that on the back and have the letters "U & i" on the front. that would be a cool idea.

If 'Clutch City.Com' is taken or owned how about:
CLUTCH CITY

I would love to "exchange Christmas gifts" with Clutch. http://bbs.clutchcity.net/ubb/wink.gif

"Cl_tchC_ty.com: Where "u" and "i" go for Houston Professional Basketball information"
Now that is classic. Definitely the best phrase for this cause!

I think all the regular posters/readers here at the Clutch City BBS should go out and get their own T-shirt made and wear it around. The NBA can't stop you from making your own shirt.
I'll make one that says:
"I bandwagon hop like nutty"
and only true BBSers will know what the hell I mean.

If anyone can draw or if ClutchsFan.net gives permission. you can post the design for free on Cafe Press their site. They will make the shirts when ordered. The person who submits the design gets a couple of dollars per shirt, hat, sweatshirt, etc. And the person submitting the design sets the price.
