I like the approach of locking misplaced threads and copying them to the appropriate forum, which you used recently with the Kim Perrot topics. I think this has at least three benefits:

1. People don't complain about admins censoring or deleting their (misplaced) posts.

2. Forums (mainly Rockets 2000) aren't cluttered with misplaced topics.

3. New users can learn about the format of the BBS and not just post everything in Rockets 2000.

It seems like the NBA Dish forum is underused. Too many people post info about transactions between other teams not involving the Rocks (with no mention of the Rocks even) in Rockets 2000 instead of NBA Dish. Maybe these topics should also be moved in the same manner. Thanks again.

I agree with your comments. Sorry, but I felt that the POST needed to be addressed. I was unaware that it was not the appropriate spot. However, as you can see by the amount of posts in Rockets 2000 compared to the others, it had a chance to reach more people.
I just think it would be a very good gesture for a 1 day tribute, since we have seen big boy's chuck on thier since Tuesday. Peace!

I totally agree. It would be a very nice gesture, and I hope Clutch has time to do a Perrot tribute.

Yeah, it seems like most people just read and use the Rockets 2000 Forum, but I really like the way the whole BBS is organized and think it would be better if people actually used the other forums. Nothing personal about the Perrot posts, I totally agreed with the spirit of the posts, and they did reach more people there, I just wanted to say that I liked how the topics were moved to the appropriate forum so that people could comment on them there instead of just being closed or deleted.

Guys, thanks for understanding. I was a bit hesitant to move the Perrot threads because I did not want the action to seem callous. Believe me, her passing has affected us all deeply.

I'd been hinting at it for over a week. The 'out of place topics' were finally locked up.

I didn't want to actually ask for specific topics to be locked. It's really not for me to decide, but I'm glad they have been. Unfortunately, the timing was bad, because other threads were left open, but the Perrot threads were closed. Some people may mistake it to be bias, but I understand it was more of a hoping something would stop, but instead it increased.

Notice, in keeping with the correct topic and forum I usually leave my signature off of non-basketball related topics. Not that it means much, but I felt like mentioning it.
