multiple views of the bbs

is there any way to create a view such that all of the "new" posts for any topic in the last x days could be gathered into one frame window. each could have a header describing which thread it was attached to.

that would save me a lot of time clicking my way through thread after thread and having to scroll to the bottom to see only the new message.

I like the format for keeping the topics ordered. this would just be an extra "view" window option.

perhaps, if i wanted to reply to a post, i could click the header and it would take me directly to that thread.

I like the current set up. Much more so than conventional BBS sites. Try using your cmd, and scroll down buttons to get to the very bottom.

yeah. i like the set up as well. i think clutch and the gang have done a tremendous job.

i don't want to change the layout for the web site. just wondering if another "view" option is possible so that the information could be temporarily arranged to view the database in an alternate form.

since i don't know the bbs engine being used, i don't know what flexiblility exists for individuals to see additional views like you can at some web sites. the data is just stored in a data base. how it's viewed is up to the reader.

like in microsoft access. you can take the same table and create a dozen different view templates so you can look at the data any number of ways.

that's all i meant.
