    Today is my birthday!

    I went out to buy an HDTV, but alas, all they had were HD ready... I want HD TV not some bogus ready crap.

    but yeah, thanks to the BBS for wishing me happy birthday via email!

    The only reason you'd need a TV with a tuner in it is if you plan to hook up an antenna to get off the air HD stations..

    If you have cable or satellite then the HD box does it all for you.

    Well, as an RA next year I won't have HD cable boxes, but I still want to watch HD sports (aka my buckeyes winning)

    I'm curious as a Muslim do you find it problematic that your birthday is near Christmas? I know a lot of people complain when their birthday is near Christmas because they only get one present for both events. I'm just wondering if as a Muslim you and your family observed Christmas culturally (obviously not religiously) and that meant you only got one gift.
