The Cards won. That's it for the Astros. They are done. They are so yesterday. You know it's just too little too late for them to come back.

So.... this means that the Cardinals' magic number is now 4. How is that eliminated?

I think this is a Classic moment in the making. Hell, this should be a Classic moment if the Padres win TODAY, irrespective of whether we make the postseason.
I take it that you are not the same star that the wise men followed.

Even Carpenter gave up 6 runs.
You know you will blow up the playoff, Cardinals.
And their bullpen sucks.
2 on,no out in 8th innings.

I thought you were referring to the cardinals coming back and winning from being down 6-5. Even if they did it still wouldnt have been close to being over

Nothing against the Astros. I have been rooting for them the last couple of years. I'm just being realistic that the Cards are not going to blow it.

dude they are blowing it! they've given up 6 games in the last 6 days...7 in the last 7 days if the pads hold them down, tonight.
the astros will be 1.5 games out in about 20 minutes or so, assuming hoffman does his job.
