Our O Line and D line have been terrible since 2004.
Just, freaking, terrible.
We have no passrush, we have no passblocking.

Charlie Casserly-
I posted this back when they brought Dan Reeves in (who was a horrible consultant).
This team drafted horribly (under Casserly) and never signed an impact free agent.
The roster last season had 2-14 talent and everyone who thought they would do well with good coaching is wrong. They have good coaching and they still have 2-14 talent.
This roster has to be rebuilt.
Out of 36+ draft picks there are 2 keepers (prior) to this last draft- Andre Johnson and Duante Robinson.
We will wait and see on Kubiak's first draft, but I do like Spencer (hurt), the tight end, and the middle linebacker.
We need two defensive tackles, one defensive end, two outside linebackers, at least two more corner backs and another safety.
We need 2-3 offensive linemen, a good running back, and I wish we had a different QB- Carr might do better with a new team. After this season he may never recover as a Texan.
Dom had to go, but Casserly was a bust after season #1.

This team has no defene. They did nothing over the off-season to make changes. Besides going from the 3-4 to 4-3, but that's it. It's same group of guys who the worst defense last year. Mario is turning out to be a bust. He didn't have a tackle till the 4th quarter yestery. I believe it counted as a 1/2 tackle. This team needs to rehaul it's entire defense. Everyone except Robinson, Peek and Ryans have to go. O-line is terrible as well. EVERYONE on their has to go. When you lose for so long, it's hard to break that habit.

You should have at least combined a few of those. I think it's unfair to vote on a poll in which you see two choices equally as your opinion. I picked one, obviously, but next time combine them, man.

Its the dline and secondary.
I think mainly the effort and motivation. If you look at the philly and washington game, we started hot. The offense scored on their first drive and the defense looked strong. They look confident and excited. Then the offense stops producing till the game is put away. THe defense doesnt gives up a big drive and things go downhill for them too. The indy game, they never had a chance to even show their confidence because it was gone right after the game started.

You can't place it all on one bunch. Our defensive line rarely gets a push, our offensive line rarely pass protects, our safeties are almost never anywhere near the ball, Dunta is the only defensive back we have that can cover, our only running back with good field vision is out for the season, and David Carr is too freaked out by having his knuckles on a man's taint to handle the snap properly. Either that, or the center of the week is too freaked out by David Carr having his hands on his taint to snap the ball when he's supposed to.

Right now, its sh*tty drafts, poor prior coaching contributing to piss poor player development which has contributed to piss poor performance.
The other thing is a complete inconsistent lackluster effort by the whole team, but at least the O is trying to fake it. The D is a complete joke.
An attitude of acceptance prevading through consistent losing. Just collecting a check it's embarrassing!

No "All of the Above and More" option?
This team is terrible in every aspect. Yes, Mario has been a disappointment so far, but he isn't the only problem on the team. But the entire team is the reason why the Texans are so bad.
1. Our secondary is worst in the league IMO. Our safeties cannot cover and even worse, they showed they can't even tackle. Last week's performance from our safeties was as bad as it can get, CC Brown was falling all over the place w/o anyone even touching him.
2. We are getting ZERO pressure on the QB. Everything starts in the trenches and we are losing the battle every single snap. We can't stop the run and we sure as hell can't stop the pass. As long as QBs are having record breaking performances against us, we will be a bad team, period.
3. While Carr has improved from last season (not hard to do), we have a huge problem of not being able to complete a pass beyond his first read. If the first read is not there, the play is basically over. We need Carr to make plays.
4. While no one can deny the OL has improved, like Carr, it isn't that hard to do compared to last season. I think they will improve as the season goes along, just like last season, but we are also losing the battle in the trenches on the offensive side of the ball.

its starts at the top...meaning McNair.
Statements like, "if i wanted to sell tickets...i'd draft Bush"
we're doomed.

"This team drafted horribly (under Casserly) and never signed an impact free agent."
Ding Ding Ding, Casserly won a Sb with Bethard players and his drafts were pizz poor in Washington until the Panthers threw gobs of money at Sean Gilbert to the point where the redskins would have been silly to match and recieved two first round draft picks since he was a franchise player. Then Dkita blew his load on Ricky Williams and made Casserly look like a god. Casserly sucks and I knew he would set this frachise back.

Where is the "Casserly is God" crew now when you need them to defend his genius. If suppose if Houston just would have given him MORE time... he was improving with age right? This is a time where the defenders of this nutjob need to step up like a man and admit they were wrong calling this man a great GM. Let it start with that hack sports writer John Mcclain.

No defense, I can't believe we did not get R. Bush or at least more value in return for him.

You gotta love the pop-in from the poster who says the same thing over and over.
I'll say this one more time:
The Texans stated that there wasn't that much interest in moving up to #1, they also said that the offers they received weren't good enough to move down. This proved to be true as the Saints GM said that they too shopped the pick (after Mario was chosen) and that no offers good enough were made.
What about his 13 carries for 53 yards don't you believe?
