How many of you fit into the formula of the Body Mass Index?
I don't.
At 6" and at my leanest weight (during my divorce) wearing size 34 pants, I weighed 195 lbs, which BMI considers overweight. That was also my high school football playing weight.
I have to say, I was not overweight in the least...as a matter of fact, people were telling me I was too skinny.
As for my health, I had some bloodwork done and I was VERY healthy.
I'm just curious how accurate this BMI thing is?

As a sole measure, its not very accurate as BMI only measures height and weight. A better indicator would be to do that plus a skinfold caliper test (which would measure your body fat percentage).

I've never liked BMI as a mesure, especially for men. It doesn't take muscle, frame size or bone density into account.
I don't like BMI. It said I was obese when I had hardly that much fat on me. It doesn't take into account any muscle weight and bone density.

BMI is generally viewed by most fitness specialists as an outdated body measurement test. Like JunkyardDog said, a skinfold test of your body fat is a more accurate measure.
I'm 19.6.
However, according to something I read a while back, Michael Jordan's BMI was under the Overweight category.
