They were given to Dynamo season ticket holders, I only got 1 so I won't be taking anybody.

There are a few for sale on ebay though.

You could probably also call the Dynamo sales office and get them without the service charge. The only thing left now is the fourth level.

Man I just discovered that channel this summer. I watch that thing all the time.

But I will be there for the game anyway. Anyone know where I can get some Barcelona Shirts near the Sugar Land area? Or Galleria if need be.

My family's restaurant got put on the list of places for the promotors to take the team to eat while they are in town...

There's only six businesses on there so I hope Ronaldihno walks in and orders a Bandeja Montanera with 2 empanadas...

That's Colombian food for those that got lost...

Your best bet will be Soccer 4 All in Missouri City, hopefully they have some because I need to pick one up.

Where's the restaurant at? I ate a lot of Colombian food while living in Florida and haven't had any in a while.

That's awesome! Post some Pics and video if possible. I hope they play most of their starters at least for a half.

I saw Barca in Holland play back in 2000 when Rivaldo and Kluivert were the stars (Rivaldo scored a sweet goal :) ).

There is NOTHING more sweet than watching top level world class soccer live in person. I cannot wait!

I need to ask those of you buying a jersey for a "once-in-a-lifetime" chance to view your team (Barcelona): WHY? You're only going to watch your team ONCE. I mean, ~$50 to see them ONCE?

I, in the other hand, have gone to see my team (América) at least three times (vs. Morelia, Everton, Santos) here in H-Town. Not that there's anything better about that, but I thought I'd let you know in case you want to know.

Anyway, I will be wearing my Rockets hat and my América jersey at the game, in case you want to say "what's up?" to the SwoLy.

I am just gettin a T-shirt. The only jerseys I plan on buying in the near future is England and probably the #10 France jersey. And if US ever gets their act together I will get one of those too.

My teams have always been:
#1: England and US (tied)
#2: France

Barca played their first game of the Tour today. They were in Monterrey, Mexico where they played the Tigres.

Baca won 3-0, and Ronaldinho didn't play until the 65'. I hope he can get more playing time in Houston.

From reading about the game it sounds like Ronaldinho had an awsome goal. He scored a goal on a free kick 10 meters away from the box hitting the left post. I hope I can find a video of that goal.

I can't wait for Wednesday!

Here's Barca's schedule on their visit to Houston:

Monday, August 7
15.00, Visit to Houston Child Cancer Hospital
19.00, Training. Reliant Stadium. Houston
19.00, Supper hosted by Houston Dynamo

Tuesday, August 8
8.00, Turisme de Catalunya - FCB
10.00, Training. Reliant Stadium
15.00, Visit to Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center (Nasa)
19.00, Training. Robertson Stadium. Houston

Wednesday, August 9
10.00, Training. Reliant Stadium. Houston
21.30. Match. Club America - FC Barcelona. Followed by departure of flight to New York

For those looking for Barcelona or Club America gear, Academy (across 59 from First Colony mall) has t-shirts "Barcelona F.C. America Tour" with Ronaldhinho #10 on the back and also one for Marquez #4. They also have Club America shirts and Barca Hats. Theya re $20 for cheap looking t-shirts so i did not get one (i already have a barca jersey and t-shirt though).

Thanks, Rivaldo. I have seen the same also at Soccer 4 All and at Soccer Centre (the ones on Clay and Hwy 6). The two teams have the commemmorative match dates and logo on the front with one shirt making one team more prominent. The t-shirts are $20, and neither store has any original Barcelona Jerseys, but only América Jerseys at Soccer 4 all (the one before this year's tournament). I want the new one, it's very different; you won't see too many people with this new uniform:

I think there will be lots of Brazil jerseys as well which will add to the yellow (I'll be in my #10 Ronaldinho Brazil jersey).

I just watched the Barca vs. chivas game and Ronaldinho play most of the 2nd half. I hope they do that when he is here as well. He had some nice slick moves and had an assist (the goal was clearly offsides though).

I think all the CF members going to the game should take flares.

You think they'll allow them in Reliant Stadium?

There was a defender that went with a Barcelona player down the wing that was keeping him onsisde. Check around the 2:20 mark of this video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ww0djBDzjSQ&mode=related&search=) and you can see it.

After watching the game last night I can't wait for Wednesday. Barcelona are so creative in the final third of the field.

Nice find, DrLudicrous. Check out this one at the 2:50 mark: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XOuD8x7maJI. (yeah, we DO need flares :D )

Question for you, DrLudicrous: Why use the plural when referring to ONE TEAM as the British do? When you said "Barcelona are so creative", I thought the singular "is so creative" should have used. Are you speaking British now? ;) Or is that something that is going to be widely accepted? I have always said "[A team] is [something]".

Flares and smoke bombs get you thrown out and possibly arrested at Dynamo games, hopefully that'll change when we get our own stadium. There may be some on Wednesday since the game is at Relient.

I guess since it's more than one person I use the plural even though the name of the team is singular. I have no idea what the proper usage is though.

Holy Crap what a great game. I expected this to be a pansy exhibition game to avoid any strain on players. But all the Barca stars came out in the 2nd half...especially in the last 10 minutes and just took over.

Then we found a bunch of people playing soccer in the parking lot at reliant so we joined in for atleast 30 minutes. Great night.

Also, if you heard a bald guy with his whole head painted in blue and red yelling out BARCELONA on the ramps after the game. That was one of the people I went with.

Rivaldo2181

Fantastic game last night. I still can't believe I saw Barcelona, Ronaldinho, Eto'o, Messi, Deco, Saviola and others last night. It feels like it was all a dream.

Pretty great atmosphere, although the crowd died down for long spells during the game. I thought America was playing as hard as they could while Barca just sort of cruised and then turned it on a little at the end.

Messi and Ronaldinho are so quick and slick with the ball it is not fair. It's kind of a downer that we may not get to see this level of soccer until next summer.

Oh yeah, former Rocket Robert Reid sat a row down and a few seats away from me. Some dude recognized him and got his autograph. He was very friendly, almost too friendly. I guess he was so excited that someone actually recognized him. From then on he seem to become a hog for attention. He kept trying to get people to take pics with and engage the crowd and this and that, it got ridiculous. He is either the nicest guy in the world or just loves attention, probably somewhere in the middle.
