Didn't see this posted...Jason Lane was called back up Wednesday to replace Orlando Palmeiro. Palmeiro was placed on the bereavement list Wednesday after his father died on Tuesday. League rules has a 3 day minimum on the bereavement list.
RIP Mr. Palmerio
So would Lane be going back down after Palmerio comes back? Or do they send Scott or someone else down?

Is it a 3-day minimum or a 3-game minimum?

Considering Lane went 0-6 with 5 strikeouts 2 nights ago for Round Rock (tying a record), many of which came in situations where men were in scoring position, me thinks yes.

ESPN only stated a 3 day minimum. Wow 5 K's in a game! RR at that! He's making Wilson look good.

At least 3 days, maximum of 7.

Wow 5 K's in a game!
Preceeded by a 6 RBI game in his last start, no less.

Lane will go back to the Rock...Luke has hit the ball hard. Anyone see him almost throw out harang at first the other night from RF? If Lamb had his foot on the base it woulda been close

He also had Dunn thrown out at 3rd last night on the force after a single dropped in and Huff missed the throw.

Umm...didn't Lane pinch hit (and strike out per usual) last night???

And it was the worst type of strikeout.
When Preston strikes out, at least he's hacking at it like there's no tommorrow. Lane's swings were so tentative that you could tell he had no idea what was going on or any confidence at the plate.

we should have traded him last year when he had some value...

Double tragedy indeed.
The sight of Lane anywhere near our team is just depressing. So there was no one else they could have called up? Maybe they are hoping he would catch fire and they use him as trade bate this weekend.
At this point I gave up on Darryl Ward and I have long given up on Lane. Sad.

One of Raffy's scoreboard pictures back in the Dome was hilarious. Dude looked seriously goofy, had this lazy-eye look w/ the snaggletoothed smile & the gerrycurls.
Nobody touches Chris Holt & Jeriome Robertson in the dislike department for me. Completely gutless. Maybe Meluskey...Lugo's close.

NOBODY can take that distinction away from Ricky "I like to trot to 1st base" Gutierrez. Unless Scottie Pippen somehow joins the Astros, that is.
