I go to a couple games a year. In fact I went to the Lynx game just the other night. Swoopes was outstanding. I think I saw Chuck Hayes sitting where Les Alexander usually sits during the Rockets games.

It's cheap and the crowd really gets into it. It would be great if for one night the Comets fans could all go to a Rockets game and show them how it's done. I'm serious...the fans are into it big time.

The Comets only have 9 games left in the regular season, and only 3 games will be on TV.(I looked it up) It's hard to get people interested in the WNBA when their games aren't even on TV. But then it's hard to get games on TV when people aren't interested.

I was thinking the other day how amazing that there were TWO professional women's basketball leagues at one time. I am not saying WNBA should go away, but there should be alot less teams. They expanded way too fast and the quality of play has suffered. I can look at college girls play and the quality is better.

But back to the original topic, if there is nothing else on I will check out some Comets ball. Not exactly a ringing endorsement, but that is the truth. But if they went out of business tomorrow I wouldn't miss it. But if I had a daughter, I probably would take her to some games.

From what I'v seen they have lost interest every year. I'm supprised they are turning a profit. I really didn't think they were.

I dont think they can turn there league around unless they get a MJ type player in the body of a woman. IMO of course.

The only way they will turn it around and make a huge profit is if HOT women start playing and playing well.

Women's tennis is not popular becuase they are good players...it's because they are hot and it's awesome to watch them grunt, sweat and run their hard bodies aorund in those short outfits.

Its hard NOT to care when you have a team that once won 4 straight..
If the season ended today, we'd be in the playoffs (14-12) at the 3 spot with Seattle close behind at the 4th and final seed. Unfortunately thats not the case. We play the Sparks this tuesday in LA, which is never easy..especially with Lisa Leslie having another MvP caliber year. A few more losses for us with the addition of a few more wins for Seattle and San Antonio, will more than likely bump us out of playoff contention. And it sure as hell doesnt help that Dominique and Tina are both hurt. It'll be a tough road ahead for us.
