kerry Mckee

I have digested the Gay/Battier trade and reluctantly decided to accept the inevitability and move on. What is next for the ROX? I hope that the ROX do not try to nickle and dime Mike James. I hope that they give him the 4th year to seal the deal. If so, this would be a good move. Even better would be if they trade for him and use the trade exception they have and then use the MLE for a couple more additions to the roster like V. Spanollis, D. Stevenson, K. Cato, Q. Woods and or John Salmons. I am interested in their plan to fill out the rest of the roster.

But why is the 'M' in McKee capitalized and the 'K' in kerry lowercase?

Well I think Bogans is going to be resigned definetly after all the other wheeling and dealing is over. Bogans is a tall gaurd and a very very solid defender. I saw in a game with SActown last season towards the end of the year he gaurded and often frustrated Artest to no end. Also Bowen will most likley exercise his player option and return next season. That leaves us with 2 open roster spots not counting Battier who is already part of the 11. That means a spot for Mike James and one more free agent I hoipe another quick and atleast 6-4 to 6-5 gaurd. So Houston would add 3 new players to the roster that weren't on the team last year. Battier, James or Claxton or Jones/ and one more guy. We will be right back atop the west next season mark my words. Go Rockets!!!

Geez you guys or tough. I actually am with you while it wouldn't be what I would do I can see the logic in this trade. With a healthy Tmac and Yao we are a playoff team. And just by starting Battier over JHo and giving Chucky the backup role so that Mr. Ho never sees the Light of day we have improved significantly. Now sign James to shore up the guard and Add Novaks deadly outside shooting to backup both forward spots and spread the floor and I would say we have an outside shot at the title. And a decent backup pg and Center/PF and if JVG will just coach the team without letting his ego interfere and throwing anyone in the doghouse then we are even closer.
The only problem is the last pieces might be harder to come by. If we sign James we will have to find partners willing to accept our trade exception to consummate a deal for a decent player or see what we can get with the minimum not much. And it may take half the season for all these new faces to gel. Also it is sometimes hard to teach and old dog new tricks especially when he is the head of the dogpound. So we are more likely one year away provided they don't clean house again next year. Go Rockets!
P.S. Remember the days when you actually knew most of the players on the Roster because they actually had been there more than 60 days.

i have accepted the trade myself and by process of elimination, i can see mikey james coming back....
with that i still think we need to grab a decent pf or a sg....i dont think we need an offensive liability pf as chuck hayes fits that description so cato should be out of the question.
battier is a nice addition for the next few years as he will develop fine around tmac n yao. the question will be at pg, who will start: alston or james...
imo, i think alston because james will be a spark off the bench in the 2nd qtr

There's always Head and Novak. Maybe we can get lucky with them being the next superstars on the team once Tmac "declines" in 3 years like JVG supposedly said..

Couldn't you have held out a little longer? Now that y'all have accepted this trade, we're stuck! Damn it, why did the Rockets let you people have the final say? ANOTHER BAD DECISION BY CD.

I say we trade him for a top ten pick next year
Do you think we could find a team that would do that? Lets see.... who is really going to suck next year?
I have accepted the trade as well.

Trade Battier for a starting NBA 2.
thats basically why a lot of people hate this trade..
we could have packaged the 8th pick for one of our primary needs a PF or SG.. or if we're only going to get role/bench/glue palyers, at least get two of them one glue and one role/bench..

1.) Bogans is all right, but if we trade him with for example Head we could sign better players instead!
2.) Bowen ... Hell no! I 'd rather have a player like DerMarr Johnson to be back up SF or SG. Sorry dude, but Bowen is a joke and a typical Jazz player!
3.) And you haven 't mention a starting PF? You would keep Juwan? Houston should sign a better PF, that 's for sure!
