So, it's finally here. The end of one of the most underappreciated shows in the past 10 years, maybe longer. It was rarely advertised, has won Emmy's, SAG awards, as well as other awards along the way, constantly gets put on hiatus. Only FOX could take such a great show and stomp it into "bolivian".

Taste the sad, ClutchFans. :( If only there was a way to cirsumvent the security at the Neilsen ratings offices and alter the results. "Arrested Development has higher ratings than the Olympic opening ceremonies?"

We've altered sports polls before...could we possibly influence TV ratings?
EVERYONE TUNE IN TO THE LAST FOUR EPISODES OF ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT ON FRIDAY! :)

It is sad indeed, and I have started buying the DVD's of the season. I will have to relive the old memories since FOX won't allow them to continue to make new ones.

my favorite TV show of all time. NO Bs.

there has been zero buzz from this, this is the first time I heard it.

Sometimes I think when Fox doesn't want a show for whatever reason, they will stop promoting it and move around the airdates to legitamize that it was a "bad" show. Watch this catch 22,
"No one watched the finale, it must be a bad show!"
"Well, that's because you broadcast it during the opening ceremonies and didn't advertise that it would be showing that day! No-one knew!"
"Of course we did it during the ceremonies, it was a bad show! and why would we clog our airtime with commercials for a bad show?"

addendum: and if that isn't enough, William Hung is appearing as a guest star.

I heard something about Showtime picking it up or some network working to pick it up..

is that just a rumor?

Fox loves to kill good shows.

Firefly, for existence.

Then they keep showing American Idol. Ugh.

I love this show and it's sad to see it go...I hope ABC or another network will pick it up but seems unlikely. The same thing happened to "Freaks and Geeks". I loved that show but it got cancelled and never picked up.

Supposedly Showtime is close to getting it, but I hope not since I don't have Showtime. Still, as long as somebody picks it up, I'll find a way to watch it.

I was hoping NBC or ABC would pick it up. Just think of that killer lineup NBC would have on Thursdays: My Name Is Earl, The Office, and Arrested Development (and maybe Scrubs depending on how NBC heads feel on that particular week)

If that turns out to be a series finale, and hopefully it doesn't but if it does, that last half hour has to be one of the best series finales I've ever seen.

Note to Showtime: I don't subscribe to you now, but if you picked up this show, I would call my satellite provider to hook me up as soon as I could find the cordless phone in my cushions.

Those last 4 episodes were awesome, every single one of them. (Justine Bateman's still hot!) They managed to reference just about EVERYTHING in those episodes. All that was missing was Gob's Chicken Dance, the Final Countdown music (for Gob's act), another destruction of the Bluth Banana Stand, the stair car (only mentioned in passing), and Kitty's breasts. Oh, and an appearance by Bob Loblaw and Henry Winkler would have been nice, too.

This show better get picked up. My seasons 1 and 2 DVDs look rather lonely on my shelf. :(

the Final Countdown music (for Gob's act)

Scratch that off your list. The episode where they were in Iraq, before he did the burning bush trick he played the music.

Using Bitcomet (http://www.bitcomet.com), which is a Bittorrent client. Do a search for 'Arrested Development'.

Happy viewing. Also got Larry Sanders Show from there. Damn, that's a hilarious show.

Another great self reference was when Justine was talking to the Bluth employees and she rattles of that list of things she'll do. It's the same thing Gob said to the workers when he was trying to tell them to stay away from Lindsay at the company party.

"The Final Countdown" is my ringtone. It's awesome.

I will miss the Bluths :( . but I am confident they will get revived. BUt they will have to start all over again with new plot drivers.

George, Sr. ending up on the yacht is a good start.

I was reading over at Ain't It Cool that Showtime offered a 2-year, 24-episode deal, but the creator isn't sure he wants to take it.

One article I read last Friday (can't remember where, sorry) said that they're hoping to get a 35-episode contract because that would be enough to knock them into syndication.

I loved the, "How long have you had feelings for your cousin?"

"About 53 weeks."

I'm hoping that this is just some Favre/Barkley end-of-the-year exhaustion.

Wants nothing to do with anything but sleeping in and drinking iced tea on the veranda right now, but after a few months pass, he'll get the jones.

Right?

RIGHT??

I wish HBO would buy it. There's no way this show would cost more to make than Sex and the City and I bet it would have a wider appeal amongst HBO subscribers.
