The Chronicle mentioned Bush this morning, but not Smith.

Two former Oilers. That's awesome to keep the Houston tradition alive!

Think again. Cardinals deny permission for them to interview. Is this a common practice? (Denying potential promotions..)

I don't know if this co-defensive coord thing is gonna fly.
I was really hoping that Kubiak would handle the offense and sign over all defensive duties to someone like Gray and assign him as assistant head coach.

yeah, i would really love to see gray as our DC.
EDIT: the austin american-statesman said that Mike Sherman (of GB) was rumored as an OC. any word out of houston that could confirm that report?

McClain was reporting that we were talking about bringing him to in as assistant head/o-line coach.

On a side note, McClain is very good at responding to emails. Lopez has never responded.

If you knew McClain, you'd know that he simply can't ever pass up an opportunity to talk. Seriously, he'll go for hours given a chance, and it's alway entertaining.

I just though I'd throw this out there for some of the Jerry Gray fans. Today on 610, McClain said that Kubiak isn't familiar with him since they've never coached together and that also Gray had yet to be offered a DC job anywhere, only offers to be a DB coach. Take that for what it's worth.
He also said that it wasn't over with Bush, and that the Cardinals still may give the Texans permission to talk with him. Finally, he said that Smith will NOT be the sole DC.

Come on!! Some of yall are morons for thinking they could not work as Co-D coordinators.
Nothing goes better together than Dick and Bush. Come on now.
