I know this stud pitcher gets injured alot but if Clemens were to leave I think he would make a great addition to our pitching staff. He has what it takes to be a staff ace, the poise, the arm, etc. Marlins dangling beckett (http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2229919)

Based on the asking price, no. We don't have a package that can compare with Blalock plus a top pitching prospect. Plus, we can't take a Lowell salary since we already have Ensberg at 3B.

Yes! We should definitely go after him. Beckett is the real deal. And despite his past injuries none of them have been arm or elbow related. He had strained obliques and blister problems, nothing serious. I forsee him having a very bright future.

Maybe trade Ensberg and a prospect for him.

Maybe trade Ensberg and a prospect for him.

Our offense would be amazing then.

trading Ensberg will do wonders for our offense....

This deal just isn't in our books. Lowell has 2 years left and Beckett is due for a payday sooner than later.

I think the Astros needs to look for a consistant bat with high contactr & batting avg. not necessariily power

I'd trade anybody outside of Roy-O for Miguel Cabrera.

Hank Blalock is the best 3rd baseman they are going to get for Lowell and Beckett. The Astros aren't interested imo.
