May be going to the actual game with free tickets from this guy (http://www.kcchiefs.com/player/john_welbourn/).

That would be awesome. If I had to choose which one should go, I'd pick Casserly everytime.

Aw, come on. How could anyone have known that Derrick Johnson could make so many plays as a rookie? Oh wait, he was the best defensive player in college football last year. "But, look at his tackling form and he can't play the outside LB in the 3-4, Casserly says. I mean, clearly the NFL combine matters most in picking NFL draft prospects, not what somebody does on the field 4 years straight in college. "

Charley, how is Travis Johnson working out for you? Don't you just love 1st round picks who don't see the field?

Wishing ill-will on Carr. tsk tsk

I was disappointed that we didn't draft DJ in the draft, but CC said he wasn't the best player for our system.

if the probable defensive rookie of the year can't play in your system, change your system.

Larry Johnson may break some records in this game. I predict over 200 yards rushing.

D. Johnson was CC's biggest screw up to date. How can a linebacker of his speed and caliber not play the 3-4?

D. Johnson was CC's biggest screw up to date. How can a linebacker of his speed and caliber not play the 3-4?I guess because he wasted all of that money on Greenwood and Wong and then wasted a 1st rounder on Babin the year before. Travis Johnson may turn out to be a decent player but if you have a chance to take a LB like DJ then you have to get him.

especially if you're not gonna take an Offensive Tackle. The one thing Casserly had in his favor is he made pretty sound 1st round picks in Carr, Johnson, and Robinson. If he starts screwing up 1st rounders he has nothing but Davis and Mathis to hang his hat on.

Two screens to Gaffney, then an incompletion to Gaffney on third and 2.

Not even one look to Andre Johnson. How you can consistenly ignore your playmaker is beyond me.

I grew up a Chiefs fan though, and they need this game more...I'd like to see Vermeil get another playoff shot if he's going to retire.

Wow... and I thought AJ was our only level-headed player. A pretty BONE-HEADED unsportsmanlike conduct penalty.

No FG, no possible 4th and inches. Bad coaching too if its gotten this out of hand.

geeimsobored
11-20-2005, 08:21 PM
Watch out for the quiet ones. Once you hit their threshold, they explode on you. AJ being a great case of that.

Oh well props to our special teams. We own in the department.

Of course there is no penalty on Sammy Knight for kneeing him in the helmet after the play, and then straddling his head. Bad judgement on Johnson's part, but he had a right to be pissed.

Are there any unsportsmanlike conducts that AREN'T bone-headed?

11-20-2005, 08:42 PM
Not only can our line not block, but they seem to be getting false start penalties every other play.

Now all they need to do is add the holding penalty, and their failure will be complete.

This is so fully. ESPN guys are just dressing down the whole Texans organization on every failed play.

Not that they don't deserve it ...but still ...

DieHard Rocket
11-20-2005, 08:51 PM
Special teams was the glue holding this game together...then they neutralize Mathis by not kicking to him and it pretty much kills any momentum.

How embarrasing is this in front of a national audience. Buchanon is proving the Raiders right, and Johnson is playing Ron Artest style. Why do I have a feeling a brawl is going to breakout before the end of this game? It may be only Texans in the brawl too.

lpbman
11-20-2005, 08:52 PM
Nah, I'm ready for them to go away all together. They are absolute masters of the whole build-up-hope and then crush you schtick.

I'm not sure which is worse: our offense or our piss poor defense. They are both truly atrocious. They're allowing the 3rd most points in the league and scoring the 3rd least...awful

VesceySux
11-20-2005, 09:06 PM
At this rate, I don't think ESPN is gonna schedule another Texans night game until 2017. With good reason, too. The sponsors should totally get free air time for this one-sided travesty.

Another day, another demoralizing INT-TD. Well done, Mr. Carr.

DieHard Rocket
11-20-2005, 09:14 PM
I can't even remember the last time we threw a ball downfield more than 30 yards. No wonder Carr never gets time in the pocket.

...(30 seconds after I started this post)...

and on cue, KC is sitting on the short passes and pick one off.

There is no doubt about it, we are easily the worst team in the league. I wouldn't blame ESPN if they cut to figure skating or something.

What would make it a sweet sweet ending to the season now is to see Bob McNair come storming down the field in one of the upcoming games and fires Capers on the spot.

Shortly after, Carr on a 3rd and 26 play suddenly goes to the sideline, grabs a microphone and declares his immediate retirement from the NFL due to fear for his life and further embarasement to his image.

i didnt watch the game but judging by the other comments i guess we won? I am actually disappointed with the Texans, they had the chance to make history this year. They had the oppertunity of going 0-16, but blew thier chance. As for now, I hate the Texans and am digusted with their lack of effort to break the record books.

ROCKSS
11-21-2005, 05:12 PM
Wow, that was bad. I really thought they would come out with fire and passion and a few new wrinkles, but that did not materialize. I am half shocked that Capers and Casserly didnt get the boot today becuase they have turned this team into a sub par NFL team and I thought McNair would be at his wits end by now and say Enough is Enough. Whatever happens and whoever comes in they will have a long road to fix this problem, as a Dolphin fan it will take at least 3 years to fix what Dave Wannstadt did to us.

The worse part about all of this is that you don't even need a good qb to win this year. All you need a good team. The abundance of crap at the qb position is overwhelming.
