There is no line yet on this game, but this would be the week to take the Texans with the points.
1. The Texans are playing much better.
2. The Colts have finally beat the Patriots so they will likely have a let down next week.
3. The Colts played on Monday night so they don't have as many days to get ready as the Texans.
Final Score:
Colts 24
Texans 20

We crush the colts. dd kills them in the screen game. They have to double AJ and no one has the foot speed to keep up with mathis.

I think this will actually be a good game
the issue is .. DON'T GET BEHIND
The texans cannot afford to have to abandon their running game
The Texans need to also move the pocket with Carr
Those two things will keep if close

The Question should be Can the Colts go 16-0?
after beating the Texans this week 9-0
7 more game to go.
Only hard game I see left for them is Pitts at home and Cinn away.

The Texans will not beat the colts on the road. Their defense can not contain the Colts. That being said, we will not outscore the Colts.

Only way the Texans win this is if.......
Mathis runs it back for a touchdown on every return
The entire Colt D line gets lost on the way to the game
Manning agrees to play with one hand tied behind his back
Peek and Babin combine for 10 sacks and 2 safeties
DD rushes for 200 yards
David Carr is not sacked once (has that ever happened?)
if everything above happens then the Texans win a squeaker
49-48
On a side note am I the only one hoping and praying the Texans do somehow win this one and then lose the rest? Wouldn't that be great? Finally beat the Colts snap their streak and still get a top 3 pick!

This team and this coaching disgusts me.
Down 21 to 7, we actually stop the Colts two minute drill and get the ball back with about 1:30 left to play. First play is a check down to the flats that gets batted down. Then we run it. Third play is another check down that falls short of the first down.
YOU ARE DOWN 14 POINTS TO THE BEST TEAM IN THE LEAGUE, TAKE A SHOT DOWN FIELD!
This just goes to show you how far we are behind where we need to be. Coaching/play-calling sucks. O-line sucks. Carr sucks. Defense sucks.
As if it wasn't obvious enough already, this team needs a major overhaul. The only players I care to see on this team next year are Andre Johnson, Dominic Davis, and Dunta Robinson. New staff, new GM, and yes, new quarterback.
I think David Carr can be a decent QB in this league, but he hasn't proven himself worthy of a big contract extension. This looks to be a good year for QB's in the draft...it's for the best if we go ahead and replace him.

Look like they were trying to get back in the game. Did Manning make the TD look easy or what? Seems like they could score 100 on the Texans if they really wanted to.
Manning 20-24 with 3td's. That's just silly.
Manning 20-24 with 3td's. That's just silly.
That's actually just our defense.
I've always maintained that it had more serious problems than our offense... mainly because its amazing what the offense can do without any semblance of an O-line... and also, we have a defensive head coach, our last THREE 1st round picks have been for the defense (Babin, Robinson, TJ).

If you had half your home city blaming you for the entire team's failures, you'd celebrate when scoring, too.

Couldn't you reverse that and say our first TWO 1st round picks were on offense? I dont doubt that Dom sucks and he's a "defensive coach", but I don't see how the draft picks theory works ;)

It means that we've actually made an effort to improve the defense with super-valuable 1st round picks... and they look even WORSE (that's a bad sign).
At least with the offense, the problems are primarily the offensive line... and that's an area that we have not tried to improve.
It sucks when you try to make an effort to improve something, by trading multiple picks for Babin and Buchannon, and drafting Dunta and TJ, signing Walker to a big deal... and they've gotten worse.

With Pitts at LT our OLine has been looking alot better. Pitts understands that with a guy speed rushing straight up the field you just push them and let their momentum take them out of the play.

Hey is Corey Bradford benched, or is he hurt this game. D.Armstrong should have been in the rotation a long time ago. All he does is make plays. First downs all the time. Talent evaluation sucks with the current staff.
At least we covered the spread.

Carr has got to play better at the end of games. not arguing they should have won, but they definitely didn't play their best at the end of the game. I think the Texans should stick with Gaffney, he's pretty decent for a number 2. They have much more pressing needs like OT, and a playmaking LB.

good thing i read this, because i was going to say the same thing. to me, he's the texans 2nd best receiver, of course behind aj. he's better than bradford and gaffney simpley because he catches the ball, not a whole lot of drops like the other two. he needs to be on the field a whole lot more.
i was surprised that the texans actually made it somewhat respectable and didn't get blown out by like 3 or 4 td's. i like what pendry is doing with the offense only if they could get an offensive line that could block worth a damn.

I heard Granato on 610 after the game, and he was saying the only thing holding back Armstrong is his route running. He said from what he sees on the sideline, Gaffney and AJ are Carr's only dependable WR's...he knows they'll hit their spots.
Armstrong has the physical talent and ability, he just needs to get the mechanics down.

That is a crock (not directed at you but at Granato). The guy never gets any reps, but D.Carr seems to be more comfortable with him than Bradford.... And even Gaffney a little. Granato should look at his catch\plays in the game ratio compared to everyone else except for A.J. I been pulling for D.Armstrong since last year. He has always come through. Dependable and I am also not convinced that he doesnt have enough speed. If Wayne Chrebet can get some reps (no offense to Wayne) then D.Armstrong should. Some players (ex:Chrebet) just play the ame and make plays. Armstrong can be one of those players. He will be if he leaves for another team.

Saw parts of this game...We showd flashes of a good team, right out of the half...But man, after than, forget it...Carr, when he has time, seemed to make the right choices...However, just frazzle him a little, and forget it...At times, it seems he doesn't have a clue and tries to force things...Very sad...

Granato is the ultimate flip floper. He says that, but then on Monday he says, "Armstrong should be starting! I don't know why he isn't in the starting lineup!!!"

armstrong should start. i don't see where gaffney is a better route runner. i don't know how many times he just fails to turn around and look for the ball. i know i've see that happen at least 3 times this season alone. to me, gaffney has no clue of how to play receiver. he has speed and size but lacks consistency and hands. he shouldn't be higher than 4th on the chart. and bradford should just be cut because he drops too many balls.
