How was that not an unnecessary roughness call on Wright? And the phantom false start call.

Thoughts on the game so far...
Milford Brown doing his best Chester Pitts impression...
10 bucks on a Kickoff return wasted...
Kenny just done pissed Andre off...
Not much pressure on Carr, well, compared to normal...
Fred Taylor is gonna run all over us...
I still predict a FG to win it by Kris Brown, a 40+ yarder.
Uprising
11-06-2005, 12:25 PM
Gawd damn. Taylor is running all over us.
Last three runs..

He is doing OK . .[that slide for a sack was weak]
but i still think he needs to go
When did Wells become a BIG BRUISING BACK ???
Corey Bradford made is one good play for the month
I still want ole HANDS OF STONE gone.
The O-Line is doing well ... They IMO leave Carr with some OUTS
he just doesn't take it
Question on the Carr pass that slipped out of his hands and they thought it
was a fumble. .. . . Why was that not intentional grounding . .since he was
not outside the box? Lucky for us .. but i thought he they didn't rule it a
fumble. . .they would get us that way

Agreed.... I know Andre was open, but Bradford was open too... and had a decent shot at a TD right there (nothing was guaranteed with AJ's possible 12 yard gain).

The good news is that Carr looked very good today. Sure he had a couple of gaffes but 22-30 is exceptional with this o-line. Gary Walker and Seth Payne (minus the holding penalty) were beasts today on the d-line. They kept up in this game. To hang in there with Jacksonville while we were playing without Dominick Davis, our top offensive performer, and Jerome Mathis, our top special teams performer, is a good showing.
Plus, we are a game closer to getting D'Brickashaw.

I disagree. Carr had a OK game statistics wise, but it was still the same ol' story. Either holding onto the ball too long or making poor decisions like sliding down to the ground instead of throing it away when he's outside the tackle box.
I don't know if Carr is happy with his preformance, because it was a little better by his standards this year (which is still not very good), but he failed to make plays when they counted.
Carr had lots of time to throw today until mabye the last drive of the game when Wand just got bitch'd, and his recievers were getting open.

I agree and I wonder if Carr is trying to dress up his statistics by not throwing the ball away when he should. Too often he takes off with nowhere to go or holds on to the ball forever. He doesn't seem to have a very good pocket presence and I can't remember the last time he stepped up in the pocket to avoid pressure and deliver a pass. How many times is the ball going to get batted out of his throwing hand before he starts stepping up in the pocket! Man...

I think both he and Carr were tearing Bradford a new one, but it was hard to tell. Pathetic drop.
I don't think you can fault Carr for passing up AJ. He went with a lower percentage throw, but he laid it perfectly in front of Bradford and should have had them on the 4. Passing to Johnson would have kept them 30-some yards out with 45 seconds left, and the clock would have been running (middle of the field).

Good thing we lost coz our closest competition (NO, GB, Bal, NYJ, AZ, & SF) also lost.
We can count on three more losses (Ind, KC and STL) but then its gonna get a bit hairy. BAL on the road any other year would be an automatic loss but this year it's questionable. If the Titans play like they did before then we're gonna loose. By then, god willing, we should be 1-12.
The last three games is what scares me coz we have ARZ and JAX at home and SF on the road. Capers is stupid enough 2 win all those three thus negating us a chance at the #1 pick. Hopefully we sit out Andre, Duante, Dominick, Carr, and Walker(He's been getting to many sacks)

:p This is the post of the year in terms of the Texans. Classic
I say at best they win 2 more games. I think that usually gets the job done at getting the first pick. I see a win over the niners and they will have another chance like they did today they might mess it up and actually pull it out

This was a good Game
Carr - better than I expected of him - 2 things. TUCK THE BALL and
THROW THE BALL AWAY . . . when he learns to throw the ball away
he will be so much better
Receivers - decently .. . MINUS BRADFORD THAT PIECE OF CRAP!
1 decent TD does not make anything to me when u miss the important one.
Running backs - GREAT WORK GUYS with Dominic out
Defense - decent except for a few Brain farts - lethwich's run up the middle
most prominently
Coaching - finally showed some NUTS by going for it on 4th and inches

In my opinion, I think our offense was a little better today because of the playcalling. They opened our offense up a little more with Davis out. Why don't they do this with Davis in there? With Davis, we just try to run him like crazy. Without him, we seemed to mix it up a lot more and throw more often.
And please get rid of Bradford!!!
