Great. Embarrased on national tv. I feel bad for ESPN for being required to televise this game. I bet they wish they could have at least one of the LCS for nights like this. This should be worse than the Arizona vs. San Fran game a couple of weeks ago.

Sigh....

Another loss. Alexander is going to bowl over our defense, Hasselback is going to have a field day, and Carr will get sacked 6-8 times thanks to our pathetic offensive line.

The Texans had no fire on the sidelines last week except for Marcellus Rivers who was visibly upset in the second half. The rest just looked like they were going through the motions.

That's because they've already quit on Capers. I don't think he makes it through the season. Classy guy, just not the right guy for this team.

I can't believe the rest of the country is going to have to experience the pain of watching this team Sunday night.

Alright, I'm calling it now. The Texans WILL win at Quest Field. The comeback starts this Sunday night. The offensive line will be reshuffled and replaced by pod people at some point this week. Dunta will get the Texans first takeaway of the season when he cuts in front of a Hasselbeck pass and takes it to the house. The Texans stay in until the 4th and Kris Brown wins it on a game winning FG. That's the way it's played out in my head anyway. :D

Without a block-buster trade (or trades), I am settling in for comical, pathetic, and utterly meaningless 0-16 season. The Texans are in complete meltdown mode, the excuses and post-comments are becoming hilarious, like, "We really need to look at some things," We need to find ways to get better," "We just need to solve some problems," etc.. etc. Like I said before the season started, watching Carr run for his life is not entertaining. Hopelessness is written all over the players faces. Repeat after me, Offensive Line, Offensive Line, Offensive Line...........remember, the unaddressed problem from LAST YEAR.My image of Texan's management, which WAS very positive, has taken a dive, especially after last off season.

The defense is great! They already have 4 sacks (in 4 games) this year! Against the Titans, they (almost) forced a turnover (the first one of the year.)

True, we are ranked last in the league in defense, but we're also ranked last in the league in offense, so they kind of cancel each other out.

Whats up with shuffling the O-Line?
I guess they need to make it appear they are doing something.
Am I the only one worried about having a new Center after working with McKinney for so long? After all the problems we still have with play clock management?

The Texans will probably run the ball to run the clock and not be embarassed by a blowout on national TV. Im wondering if this will be worse than Green Bay vs. New Orleans.

I think I heard Seattle is the No.1 Offense?

Im just waiting for Jim Rome to start rooting for us to go 0-16 like he did the Dolphins last year.

Who ever made the changes to the defense, as well as the draft pick of TJ has their job at stake here. And I know it wasnt the Goat Palmer offensive coordinator.

BTW, whats up with making the Offensive Line Coach, In my opinion their main problem, the teams Offensive Coordinator??? Does that make any sense what so ever???

From this point onwards, I am rooting against the Texans for the year. I am doing this for their own good. This team will not make the playoffs. I would rather secure the #1 pick in the draft than get a few victories to pat myself on the back. This team isn't the 2-4 Oilers of 1993 that went on to win 10 straight. The Texans could go 0-16 and I will be happy.

Think of it this way, if we get the number one pick in next seasons' draft, expect Capers to be fired along with the losing atitude we got around here. Fire Charlie Casserly for letting this happen. Even the anouncers said take Carr out before he got hurt and that was in the third quarter. I starting watching this game at the end of the 3rd quarter. I saw Hasselback get sacked early in the fourth and I thought, "Hey, that was a pretty good defensive play...maybe they can use that to try and make a run..."

...then they promply run 20+ yards for the TD on the very next play, missing about five tackles...It was like watching a Keystone Kops movie..classic

I think that the Texans should try to make and history and go 0-16. If you're going to be bad, you might as well make history. There have been plenty of 2-14 and 1-15 teams, but an 0-16 team is really something special. They Texans should just start all their third stringers for the rest of the season...oh wait, they might actually win a game or two...better go with what works and keep the starters in there...

HillBoy

Look on the brightside, it can't get any worse.
No, it can ALWAYS get worse. Just you wait and see. This will be a 3 win or less season for the Texans. The entire coaching staff will be fired. The big question is what happens with Casserly. He erred greatly by giving Capers the players he wanted and now we have this disaster on our hands. While the coaching has been extremely bland and poor, it's the horrible personnel decisions that really stand out. By season's end, they will literally be back at Ground Zero and this franchise will virtually be starting over from scratch.

Whoever becomes the next Texans coach (is Charlie Weis available?) will need at LEAST 2 years just to clean up the mess left behind by Casserly & Capers. By standing by Capers & Casserly, McNair overlooked a critical lesson from the days of the Oilers: it's not losing that turns off the Houston football fans, it's inept organization, stupid coaching and embarassingly futile onfield play. When you (McNair) ask people to pay through the nose for PSLs and game tickets, you had better make sure that the product you put on the field does not evoke memories of that other pro football franchise else you will pay a heavy price in terms of fan and community support. Folks are hopping mad at the Texans right now because they still care about pro football in Houston. Before Bud Adams slinked off to Tennessee, nobody in Houston cared about the Oilers anymore. Unless McNair wants to wind up in the same place, he'd better make the right decisions this next go round else it will be deja vu all over again in Houston.

The Panthers are extremely well coached, highly disciplined, and very hard to beat. My money is on the Panthers. You laugh, but I am serious, I am not sure the Texans could beat them. The Panthers are really good and the Texans are really awful. I bet UT, USC, or Notre Dame would shut them out. Folks, the Texans are horrible, and they appear to have lost their one last most valuable asset, heart.

I don't think for most of these guys it was a matter of losing them. We all watched in the first year because it was a new team and football was back in houston, we beat the cowboys and everything else was gravy. Now three years later and the team is in shambles and justifiably people are upset because the team was grossly mismanaged in the front office and on the field. The novelty of football in Houston has worn off and there is no reason to like this team or let me say there is nothing this team has done to make us like them. We root for them or watch them because we are either a) homers or b) feeling a little bit held hostage afraid that if we don't support them we will lose them like we did the Oilers. That said up to this point, this team has done nothing to earn a single fan to this point.

Since I live out in California now, I finally got to see my first Texans game of the season. Eventhough I knew they were winless, saw the highlights every weekend, and heard about all of the offensive line woes... I was thinking, "Really, how bad can this team be? They were decent last season." Boy was I wrong, they REALLY are that bad!!!

Give some credit to the Seahawks, they are the best offensive team (statwise) in the league. But there's no reason a team should be converting first downs by running the ball when its 3rd & 20. It's just plain embarrassing! And don't say Shaun Alexander is one of the best in the game... because Maurice Morris did it as well.

This team simply doesn't know how to do the fundamentals... tackle on defense, blocking on offense.
