They have 2 slots for games on Wednesday, one at 3 CST and the other at 7 CST. I'm assuming if the Yankees win their series, then we'll get the 3 CST and they'll put the Yanks in primetime, and vice versa if the Yanks lose.

Does that seem logical?

I think either way we'll get the day slot. Anaheim, I mean LA of Anaheim  , and Chicago has a bigger market than Houston and St.Louis.

But at least it seems we have destiny on our side!

I think either way we'll get the day slot.

If this were the case, wouldn't they have already announced it instead of giving it a TBD? Are there other factors that could effect it besides the winner of the Yanks/Angels series?

I really doubt the NLCS will ever get the better time slot when playing on the same day as the ALCS. Of course, since the games in Anaheim could be quite late, we might get some 6:30 start times for games 3-5.

On paper, this looks to be a pretty bad mismatch against us. I really hope we get to see some DOMINANT pitching performance from the big 3.

I really hope Game 5 next monday is not in the afternoon but 7pm. That would suck if we have a 3pm game on Wed.

If the ALCS is between the Angels and White sox. who in their right mind would want to see that over the NLCS? I know it is a bigger market with LA and Chicago, but remember it is LA team no. 2 vs. Chicago team no. 2.

If that is the scenario, TV execs should be thanking their lucky stars that at least the two best teams in the NL post season made it through.

To this day I'm glad Indiana Pacers never made the finals against us. New York and Orlando made it worth it.

Unless Roger is pitching, we'll get the early game every time.

Just be glad the Yankees and Red Sox aren't playing in the ALCS. If they were, our games would probably be pre-empted for Yankee/Red Sox pregame coverage.

I heard on 790 this morning that the White Sox will play the winner of the other AL NLDS on Tuesday night.

wishful thinking ............

Honestly, I would prefer the Yankees (even though I dont like them) to make it to the World Series (that's to say IF we beat the Cardinals, and I know we WILL!!!) because it would be our first trip to the WORLD SERIES, and I would rather face none other than the EMPIRE of the Yankees than face the Whitesox & Angels.

To me years from now it be like THE ROCKETS beating NY & ORLANDO but never the DOMINATED team of that era THE BULLS. Even today some people would say "Hey Houston won their Championship but never faced MICHAEL JORDAN".

So I"m just saying .... If we do make it to the BIG DANCE. I really how is against none other than the NEW YORK YANKEES.

(Can you imagine Clemens & Pettitte going back to NYC to pitch) :)

different deal entirely. that doesn't really happen in baseball. when a team wins...they're generally the champion with no asterisks. there is no single player effect...and if the yankees get eliminated, no one is going to question whoever goes on to win the world series. it's just a different sport that way.

plus...the astros already have national respect...they had it before the ATL series even started. there were a ton of ESPN guys who picked the 'stros to win it all. they have huge names like clemens and pettitte. and this 18 inning marathon improved their standing among fans around the nation, as well.
