I hated to start another thread, but wanted to find out if anyone came back to Houston from the Dallas area and how long it took them...
I assume the worst traffic would be the normal places (Richland - south of Corsicana) and Conroe, but wanted to find out any other info...The news says its backed up the Hunstville, but not sure...
My mom and my kids are heading back tomorrow...Thanks in advance for any info...

I was in Weatherford, west of Fortworth and the drive back home was about 5 to 6 hours. I went the speed limit the whole trip, there was hardly any traffic. I didn't once get on 45. 75 all the way to Conroe then I took all the back roads to get the rest of the way.

Drove back yesterday starting around 11:30am... made it back before 5pm... people were driving like crap around Wimberley/Conroe (on both shoulders and on the grass)... take the Hardy Toll road when you get to the Woodlands if they're still waiving toll fees... gas should be plentiful by now.

Thanks for the info...I really appreciate...I debated about driving them back and flying back, but it doesn't sound too bad...

had a co-worker drive in this morning, left at 10:30pm last night at got to north side at like 5am
he said it was clear up til Huntsville and then it was 5-10mph all the way in
he said something about 59 being closed and all the traffic from 59 is being diverted onto 45 at Huntsville ..via (dr)Livingston i would presume :)
