Man, 5 more days till our first preseason game vs. those damn BRONCOS!!! Can't wait!
- Is this offensive line is going to protect Carr this season?
- Gotta see Superman AJ gel with Bradford, Gaffney, and hopefully Speedster Mathis!
- Are linebackers Babin and Peek going to rip through the opponent's OL and sack the QB this year?
- Our corners shut down the opponent's WRs?
Questions to be answered, but damn...I'M PUMPED!

Peek will get 10+ sacks this season. He's going to dominate. :)

I'm PUMPED about football in general, but not really about Texans football. I hope i'm wrong, but I see them being an 8-8 team at best.

Embarasingly, my excitement of the upcomming season stems from the release of Madden 2006 as much as the actual games :o .
Like Matt Hasselbeck says in the EASports promo video: (http://www.easports.com/games/madden06/experience.jsp)
I personally can never play using myself because I was never fast enough. When I train and workout and run it's not for the season, it's just so I can have a better rating on Madden, I mean, let's be honest OK?

I'm excited about the preseason game too.
I'm pumped about seeing how our rookies are going to do and see how the O-Line does. If both sides perform well, this should be a very exciting season.

That Hasselbeck quote is hilarious. Can't wait to pick up the game myself. Also looking foward to seeing AJ's improvement, and the hype around Mathis.

[b]I'M PUMPED!
Don't forget about Derrick Armstrong. I think he has a chance to become a legit 3rd WR in this league. I think its obvious the key areas we must improve on last season are o-line and rushing the qb.

Hell yeah I'm pumped! :D I'm really looking forward to sat's game. I watched the NFL films recap of the Texans Saturday, and that totally got me excited.

Nope. I'll watch it on TV, but I won't get emotional about it. I ceased being interested in the NFL when the Oilers left.

You ceased being interested in the NFL, yet your going to watch the first Texans preseason game? Come on - just give in and enjoy how awesome the Texans are going to be this year. :D

My bad. I meant I'll watch them during the regular season simply because there's not much else to do at time (assuming that there are no good movies on Lifetime).

Hell yes I'm pumped! As much as I love the Rockets, football is still my favorite sport. I'm splitting bull pen season tickets again with my brother, I can't wait!

I'm pumped about my trip to Baltimore the first weekend of December. Me and my brother have 40 yard line seats to the Ravens-Texans game in Baltimore that weekend. Prolly gonna get mighty trashed drinking whiskey while tailgating in freezing weather.

sad to say, but I'm the same. I'm trying to come around...
Would have been a he// of a lot easier if we had drafted DJ (the longhorn version). i need a lathon-like athletic freak on this team to get fully behind them. maybe peek will be "that guy".

I am excited. I have been waiting for football for awhile. I have season tickets, so I will be tailgating Saturday. Hopefully the rain will let up for a couple of days before hand so we won't be out in a field of mud. I love me some football.

Hey d, I thought I saw you posting on one of the texans boards. You gonna be in the blue lot? I'm not going to the game this weekend, but we have season tix as well so I'll see you in the blue lot at some point.

I would be if the Texans had made a move to improve the offensive line. The defense should be improved overall, but if the offensive line can't protect Carr, same ole same ole. I can't believe they didn't address this obvious weakness. If I were Carr, I would be really concerned. Until proven otherwise, the Texans are a below .500 team. It takes more than ad campaigns and hoopla to win in the NFL. I am much more interested in and excited about the Rockets. But, if the Texans prove me wrong, that would be great.

Just got back from San Antone... some dude at Sea World saw my Texans' hat, and didn't want to let me in the ride because he didn't like the Texans... my comeback: "Call me when San Antonio gets a football team, cowgirl."

Not really... anyways. Did we lose Aaron Glenn to the Cowboys?

Unfortunately we did, he was upset about the Texans acquiring Buchanon and didnt want to be the third corner.

I think it was more of a salary cap move on the Texans part rather than Aaron Glenn being upset. I'm sure he wasn't too happy about the acquisition, but him being released was a Texan decision due to cap concerns.

I'm excited too but I'm still concerned about our O-line. I'm also a little concerned about the loss of Sharper. I'm still not a believer in the 3-4 and it's ability to stop the run. Also a lot concerned about our ability to move the ball against the Cover-2. That was a HUGE problem last year.
With all the negative stuff out of the way, I can't WAIT for the season to start. Should be fun watching Carr and AJ improve. We finally have 2 CB's that can play.
Also, I heard some guy on the radio saying that the Texans have the easiest schedule of any AFC team based on last years records. For that reason, we might be able to sneak in the Wildcard instead of a team that might actually be better than us.
GO TEXANS!
